Story
History and A Note from the Foster: Hey there, future family! My name’s Waddles, but my foster family calls me “Dora” because, well… I’m an explorer! Every yard, trail, and living room corner deserves a proper sniff inspection if you ask me. I’m an 8-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, and if you’re looking for brains and beauty, look no further. I’m crate-trained, potty-trained, and I walk like an absolute pro on a leash (seriously, my foster mom says I’m the best walker she’s ever had!). I currently live in western WI with a really cool 9-year-old human, my foster mom and dad, and a cat named Cheeto. I think Cheeto’s awesome — I tried to play with him, but he didn’t seem into it. I may have whimpered about it, but I got over it and went back to stealing his toys instead. I’m loyal, independent, and a bit of a goofball. My favorite toy is a stuffed moose that I proudly parade around like a trophy (no pictures, though — I’m camera shy!). I love cuddling once I get to know you, and belly rubs? Oh yes, please! I do best with school-aged kids or older, only because I’m a big girl still learning about sharing my snacks and toys. I had a tiny bit of resource guarding at first, but with a little training (and love), I got the hang of it fast. I’d love a home with: Humans who like adventure (walks! exploring! sniffing everything!) A dog sibling, but only if they're friendly and not too bossy Maybe even a cat friend — as long as they don’t mind a curious pup A cozy bed for when I’m ready to curl up and snooze after a big day Honestly, I’m just looking for a family who’ll love me as much as I’ll love them. I’m loyal, silly, smart, and sweet — basically the full package. So what do you say?

Story
Mac and his siblings found themselves at a small rural shelter with no foot traffic so we got them out. Mac is curious and independent and loving and adventurous. He loves water and he spends most of his day exploring the woods and ponds on the property. He is super smart too. His siblings are all fluffier than he is and look more shepherd like than he does. He has more of a heeler look in terms of coloring and shape but based on their sizes and their growth since I got them, I believe they will be big dogs. Big, happy, friendly, loving dogs. He is about 4 months old. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, too young for a heartworm test. Adoption fee: $600 (includes the $250 cost of transport from Oklahoma and all vetting listed above) Adoption application (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://form.jotform.com/82677586784176 FAQs (copy and paste into a new browser window): https://docs.google.com/document/d/12eb_SRtk1AzaBl87UltcLJ24MjH9UhQm_LE77iWZEQA/edit?tab=t.0 Desiderata Rescue is Oklahoma Licensed Rescue #95

Story
Freya is an enthusiastic and energetic 3 year old Anatolian shepherd mix. We adopted her about five months ago, and though we’ve bonded and I adore her so much, I’m finding out we are a mismatch of abilities unfortunately. Freya loves to be on the go and thrives with lots of exercise and stimulation. She may even thrive having some sort of job. She is loving and very sweet, but she is also a dominant personality. For a big dog with a big love of jumping, unfortunately it has not been the right fit with my two small children. She is not aggressive, but very strong willed. With her high drive and some instinctual alpha habits, she will need an experienced adopter to keep helping her along with the training we’ve already been doing since May. She is potty trained, does well in her crate, walks well on a leash, and has been picking up other good habits. She is such a wonderful pup and deserves the best possible life. I’d love to find that for her.

Video: (copy and paste into a new browser window) https://www.youtube.com/shorts/E6usifNBGv8 Dee and her siblings Dennis, Charlie, and Mac have an always sunny disposition. They are spunky, happy friendly and curious. Their favorite past time is hanging out by one of the ponds. They don't quite swim yet but definitely love water. Great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. Love to cuddle. Do not love being a crate though. They will each make perfect family dogs or adventure buddies for a single person or couple. They are some of the best puppies I've ever met. They were surrendered to a small rural shelter as an accidental litter.
