Story
I am new to rescue but here is what my foster family has learned about me so far: Tilly has been a very gentle and affectionate girl toward every person she has met so far. She is quiet, house-broken, crate-trained (but can be trusted out of the crate during the night or when family is gone). No separation anxiety. Very food-motivated (which is fabulous for both leash-training and for gaining a much-needed 20 lbs!) Respectful of boundaries. No resource guarding. Knows Sit and Stay. Some of the dogs on our walks (the loud, confrontational ones) make her cower or pull to get away BUT she`s never displayed any fear-aggression. She loves retrieving tennis balls (you can take the ball right out of her mouth if she doesn`t drop it)! LOVES peanut butter. Tilly is a wonderful dog and will be a great match for some lucky family. You can also watch for stories, pictures and videos about me on our Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/JrsPupsNStuffInc Ask to meet me today!!Adoption fee: $400All dogs/puppies have been fully vetted including spay/neuter, micro-chipping, worming, heartworm testing and preventative treatment, flea/tick preventative, and all required age appropriate vaccinations. Story
History: 🧡 From Texas to Midwest 🤠—- A group of deserving dogs was recently welcomed as part of our Texas Transport Program! A program launched to make an impactful difference for our partner shelters in Texas facing the overpopulation of animals with limited resources and low adoption rates. We are excited to help these southern gems find loving forever homes to call their own! Napoleon has been diagnosed with severe hip dysplasia and early onset arthritis. The ball part of his hip joints are sitting outside of their sockets. This is a congenital issue, meaning he was born with it, and it is already causing some early arthritic changes. He has muscle loss over his hips, stiffness, and some pain, particularly when extending his left hind leg. Potential long-term surgical options include total hip replacement or another procedure to remove the ball part of the joint (femoral head ostectomy). For now, the best approach is to focus on non-surgical management. While in rescue, he has been working with a specialist to build up the muscles around his hips to provide better support, which will help keep him comfortable and functional. This will also lead to a better outcome if he does need surgery in the future.

Story
Mac and his siblings found themselves at a small rural shelter with no foot traffic so we got them out. Mac is curious and independent and loving and adventurous. He loves water and he spends most of his day exploring the woods and ponds on the property. He is super smart too. His siblings are all fluffier than he is and look more shepherd like than he does. He has more of a heeler look in terms of coloring and shape but based on their sizes and their growth since I got them, I believe they will be big dogs. Big, happy, friendly, loving dogs. He is about 4 months old. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, we will either find a local foster to take him in or he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found. Note: No dogs are advertised as potty-trained because most dogs need at least some re-training in a new environment and after being in a shelter/rescue environment/strays. www.facebook.com/desideratarescue (copy and paste into a new browser window) Transport locations: - Washington State (Kennewick, Spokane, Tumwater, Tacoma, Tukwila, Lynnwood/Edmonds, Bellingham) - Oregon (Portland and Springfield) - Colorado (Ft Lupton) - Idaho (Heyburn and Boise/Meridian) - Utah (Ogden) - Wyoming (Evanston, Rock Springs, Laramie) - Montana (Missoula) - Illinois (Vandalia, Springfield, Chicago) - Indiana (Spiceland, Burn Harbor) - Michigan (St Joseph, Battle Creek, Ann Arbor) - Wisconsin (Madison, Wausau, Eau Claire, Appleton, Milwaukee) - Minnesota (Minneapolis/St Paul) - Iowa (Des Moines) - Ohio (Columbus and London) - Pennsylvania (Erie, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg) - New York (Buffalo and Albany) - Connecticut (Enfield) - New Jersey (Bedminster) - Nevada (Las Vegas) - Arizona (Flagstaff) - Vermont (Brattleboro) Vetting: neutered, microchipped, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, dhpp vaccine x 3, lepto vaccine x 2, dewormed several times, on monthly flea and tick prevention, on monthly heartworm protection, too young for a heartworm test. Story
Charlie and his siblings Dennis, Dee, and Mac have an always sunny disposition. They are spunky, happy friendly and curious. Their favorite past time is hanging out by one of the ponds. They don't quite swim yet but definitely love water. Great with dogs of all sizes and with cats. Love to cuddle. Do not love being a crate though. They will each make perfect family dogs or adventure buddies for a single person or couple. They are some of the best puppies I've ever met. They were surrendered to a small rural shelter as an accidental litter. He is currently still in Oklahoma where he was rescued but he can only be adopted out of state where people treat animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport at one of our transport drop off locations below. Story
Introducing Moxie .. a 1 year old 58 pound German Shepard/Maremma/Anatolian Shepard pup who is looking for her forever home. Moxie is very playful and hasn’t met a toy she doesn’t like and enjoys exploring the yard. She loves treats and belly rubs. She gets along great with her litter mates and follows the cues of the older resident dogs. Older children are preferred due to her size. She is curious about cats but respects their ‘correction’. She is being exposed to farm animals such as chickens and goats and has shown no aggression. She loves spending time outdoors, either independently or with her people. Moxie is working on leash training and housebreaking skills. She is super smart and food motivated. She is using a doggie door regularly. She will need a home with a fenced yard because these breeds are known to take a stroll and they do enjoy patrolling their ‘area’. Moxie is queen bee with her siblings but submissive to the resident dogs (who are smaller). She loves to play and explore the outdoors. She takes her job as security guard seriously and most often can be found in the fenced yard just keeping watch over everything. When she takes a break from her patrol, she prefers to relax on the couch. Favorite treats are cheese, peanut butter and ice cubes in no particular order. Moxie is super sweet and a little more reserved than her littermates but it doesn’t take long for her to warm up to people and beg for belly rubs. She is playful but will also chill and just observe. Moxie is being fostered in the Wausau, WI with her sisters Ava and Marley. Her adoption donation is $375. She has had her first set of puppy shots, been de-wormed and micro-chipped and had a round of Simparica and Interceptor. Upon proof of spay her adopter will receive a refund of $150. Please note: the Mareema and Anatolian Shepherd breeds are livestock guardian dogs and they will be big, possibly 85 pounds as an adult. These breeds need room to explore and exercise both mentally and physically. They are loyal but can be aloof due to their guarding instincts. Early training and socialization is crucial as they tend to not be accepting of strangers as they get older. These guardian behaviors tend to develop around age 2. Highly recommend doing research before adopting. If you believe Moxie could be the perfect addition to your family , please submit an application to : https://us12b.sheltermanager.com/service?account=tg2551&method=online_form_html&formid=21 DATCP #524558

Story
Meet sweet Marley, a 1 year old 56 pound Anatolian/Maremma/Shepard mix who is excited to find her forever home. Marley gets along great with other dogs and has discovered she loves toys and chasing leaves. She loves to play hard for short periods and plop down for a nap wherever she finds a spot. She definitely loves her people time and cuddling. Marley will grow into a very large dog. This breed mix is considered very intelligent and loyal. They like to roam so should have a home with a fenced yard and plenty of stimulation for their active minds and bodies. Marley loves to play and explore the outdoors. She takes her job as security guard seriously and most often can be found in the fenced yard just keeping watch over everything. When she takes a break from her patrol, she fancies herself a lap dog. Favorite treats are cheese, peanut butter and ice cubes in no particular order. Marley is being fostered in Wausau, WI with her sister Ava and Moxie. Her adoption fee is $375. She has had her first set of puppy shots, been de-wormed and micro-chipped. Upon proof of spay, her adopter will receive a $150 refund.
