Story
My Doodle Story Are you an active human with a strong throwing arm, a decent sense of humor, and the ability to establish household dominance without barking? Great — Theos is ready to take over your heart and your living room. Theos is a high-octane, brainiac doodle who was clearly an overachiever in a past life (we suspect he ran a startup and practiced jiu-jitsu). He demolishes treat puzzles like a canine Einstein, and if fetch were an Olympic sport, he’d already have the gold. But don’t be fooled by his zoomies — Theo is also a big ol’ softie. Once you’ve earned his loyalty (read: thrown the ball 37 times in a row), he’ll be your shadow, your sidekick, your emotional support doodle. Wherever you go, there he’ll be — lovingly staring into your soul… or the treat bag. He’s crate-trained like a champ, enjoys his own space when it’s time to chill, and just needs a leader who isn’t afraid to lay down the (loving) law. In fact, his ideal forever human is someone who’s part dog-whisperer, part marathon runner, and part personal life coach. Theos’s Forever Home Wishlist: • A fenced yard where he can run, frolic, and pretend he’s chasing intruders (probably squirrels) • An active family who treats “walk” as a lifestyle, not just a suggestion. • A confident, consistent leader who can guide him and teach him how to channel his brilliance into good decisions (and not, say, minor mischief). • A home that values cuddles as much as cardio. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts athlete, genius, and cuddlebug — Theos might just be your guy. But be warned: once he picks you, you’re stuck with a very loyal, very energetic, very lovable best friend for life. Theos has worked extensively with our trainer before transitioning to a foster home. He will come with the support of our training team in order to ensure a successful transition through a slow adoption process. Because of this, prospective adopters must be in the Austin metro area and willing to continue with his trainer during the adoption process. Theos’s adoption fee is $600. He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Theos a second chance. If you would like to fill out an application and you are within the Austin area, please click on one of the Adoption Application buttons on this page https://www.doodledandyrescue.org/all-adoptable-doodles/theos and select THEOS from the drop-down menu on the application form.

Story
Meet Belladonna. This 2 and a half to 3 year old poodle schnauzer mix weighs 8.5 lbs and has a delicate and sensitive soul. Belladonna was surrendered to us after her previous owners daughter developed severe allergies and she is now looking for a quiet and understanding home where she can feel safe. She is a nervous girl and may offer to bite when she feels uncomfortable or overwhelmed so she will need a patient adopter who can respect her boundaries and help her build trust at her own pace. Once she is comfortable Belladonna shows her sweet side and enjoys gentle companionship. She is particular about her meals and prefers a variety of foods served on a plate instead of in a bowl. She has done well around our calm lobby dogs though she can become overwhelmed by too many or by very energetic pups. Her adoption fee is 450. Belladonna would thrive in a peaceful home with someone who understands that love can take time and who is willing to give her the space she needs to blossom. What is included with adoptionSpay and neuter Microchip All required vaccinations Blood and fecal tests along with treatment if needed Flea tick and heartworm prevention Free wellness exam within 7 to 10 days from the day of adoptionTo adopt you must be 21 or older and live within an hour of our facility.Do you have any questions or would you like to set an appointment?

Story
Meet Stella 🌟🐾 This very special little poodle is just 1 year old and weighs only 3.5 lbs. Stella’s journey has been tough—she was surrendered to us after a door accidentally fell on her and broke her leg. Sadly, her previous owner couldn’t afford the surgery she needed, but made the selfless decision to surrender her so Stella could get the care she deserved. Our vet determined the best option was to amputate her leg, and since then Stella has healed beautifully. Despite everything she’s been through, she remains the sweetest, most well-behaved little girl. Her tiny size and fragile frame mean she would do best in a calmer home where she can feel safe and cherished 🏡💖Stella is proof that resilience comes in small packages—she’s ready to bring joy, love, and companionship to the right family.Adoption fee: $700 If you’re looking for a gentle soul with a story of strength and a heart full of love, Stella might be the perfect match.Every animal adopted from us receives: ✅ Spay/neuter surgery ✅ Microchip ✅ Updated vaccinations ✅ Blood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed) ✅ Flea/tick and heartworm prevention 🩺 A free wellness exam within 7–10 days of adoptionTo adopt, you must: 🎂 Be at least 21 years old 📍 Live within 1 hour of our facilityDo you have any questions, or would you like to set an appointment to meet her and see if she might be the perfect fit for your home?
