Story
We got Buddy from a local breeder a year ago as a companion for our Aussie/Retriever. Having two male Aussie mixes has become a bit of a challenge for our very busy and large family. Buddy is extremely loving once he warms up to you(he does act pretty timid at first though). He’s still very much has puppy energy. He is kennel trained, house trained, and knows several commands. He does great at the dog park, but he has a little bit of a little guy complex until he gets comfortable. We haven’t been able to dedicate as much time and energy into socializing buddy with people, so he’s very standoffish at first meeting. We are not asking for an adoption fee, we just want him to be with a family who has the time and resources to love him and care for him.

Story
My Doodle Story Are you an active human with a strong throwing arm, a decent sense of humor, and the ability to establish household dominance without barking? Great — Theos is ready to take over your heart and your living room. Theos is a high-octane, brainiac doodle who was clearly an overachiever in a past life (we suspect he ran a startup and practiced jiu-jitsu). He demolishes treat puzzles like a canine Einstein, and if fetch were an Olympic sport, he’d already have the gold. But don’t be fooled by his zoomies — Theo is also a big ol’ softie. Once you’ve earned his loyalty (read: thrown the ball 37 times in a row), he’ll be your shadow, your sidekick, your emotional support doodle. Wherever you go, there he’ll be — lovingly staring into your soul… or the treat bag. He’s crate-trained like a champ, enjoys his own space when it’s time to chill, and just needs a leader who isn’t afraid to lay down the (loving) law. In fact, his ideal forever human is someone who’s part dog-whisperer, part marathon runner, and part personal life coach. Theos’s Forever Home Wishlist: • A fenced yard where he can run, frolic, and pretend he’s chasing intruders (probably squirrels) • An active family who treats “walk” as a lifestyle, not just a suggestion. • A confident, consistent leader who can guide him and teach him how to channel his brilliance into good decisions (and not, say, minor mischief). • A home that values cuddles as much as cardio. If you’re looking for a dog who’s equal parts athlete, genius, and cuddlebug — Theos might just be your guy. But be warned: once he picks you, you’re stuck with a very loyal, very energetic, very lovable best friend for life. Theos has worked extensively with our trainer before transitioning to a foster home. He will come with the support of our training team in order to ensure a successful transition through a slow adoption process. Because of this, prospective adopters must be in the Austin metro area and willing to continue with his trainer during the adoption process. Theos’s adoption fee is $600. He is HW negative, current on all vaccinations and HW/flea preventatives, spayed/neutered, and microchipped. All adoption fees go toward expenses like medical costs and food for Doodle Dandy dogs and help make it possible for us to continue giving amazing pups like Theos a second chance. If you would like to fill out an application and you are within the Austin area, please click on one of the Adoption Application buttons on this page https://www.doodledandyrescue.org/all-adoptable-doodles/theos and select THEOS from the drop-down menu on the application form.

Story
We got him a shelter in Collin county. Buddy is a sweet dog but our older dog that we already have has a hard time getting along with Buddy. Buddy is an only child kind of dog and I think it’s best He goes to a home that has no other pets. Buddy is potty trained and loves people. Buddy gets attached very quickly and loves to go on walks and running around in a backyard. Buddy loves to cuddle and loves to play with his dog toys. Buddy is just a great dog to have around that just wants to be loved by his people.

Story
We are currently having issues with our adoption inquiry webform. If you have any questions or would like to schedule an appointment to visit with an animal or multiple animals, please email us directly at info@animalhope.org or call us 817-984-1129 between 12 pm and 6 pm. Miss Sadie is a 2‑year‑old Goldendoodle weighing 53 lbs. She was recently surrendered to us for reasons unrelated to her behavior, and her previous family had to make the difficult decision that she required a more suitable home.Sadie is a genuinely sweet dog once she feels comfortable, but the shelter environment is overwhelming for her. She is very anxious here—loud noises, unfamiliar dogs, and the constant activity are simply too much. Outside, one‑on‑one with staff, she relaxes noticeably and shows us the gentle, loving dog she can be in a calm environment.Because she is so fearful in this setting, Sadie has offered to nip when she feels cornered or overstimulated. We believe this is a fear‑based reaction, not aggression. Even our veterinary team noted her anxiety, but she still allowed them to administer her vaccines and the sedative needed for her spay surgery. She’s scared, not mean—and she needs someone patient enough to help her feel safe again. We truly believe Sadie will shine in a stable, quiet home with someone who understands that anxious dogs need time, reassurance, and a predictable routine. She has so much potential once she’s out of the stressful kennel environment. Her adoption fee is $300.Please note: Since we don’t observe our animals in home settings, we cannot guarantee potty training. Each pet may need time, patience, and guidance to adjust to a new routine.Every animal adopted from us receives:Spay/neuter surgeryMicrochipUpdated vaccinationsBlood and fecal testing (with treatment if needed)Flea/tick and heartworm preventionA free wellness exam within 7–10 days of adoptionTo adopt, you must:Be at least 21 years oldLive within 1 hour of our facilityIf you'd like to set up a time to meet with her to see if she is a fit, just reach out by shooting us an emailing or giving us a call!
