Say hello to Charlie! Charlie is a 16-month-old, 30 lb Mini Aussie Doodle who is looking for a patient adopter to help him feel secure in his forever home. While Charlie may be shy at first, with the right environment, he’ll blossom into a loving companion who bonds deeply with one special person. He’s a quiet soul who is shy around new people and loud noises, and he can be skittish of sudden movements. With time, patience, and understanding, Charlie will learn to trust you and show his true, loyal nature. Charlie is an incredibly sweet and affectionate dog who loves the company of other dogs. He absolutely MUST have another dog in the household to provide him with confidence and emotional support. Charlie thrives in a calm, quiet environment. He would do best in a peaceful, standalone home outside of the city, preferably in a quiet neighborhood with a securely fenced yard. He is not suited for apartment living or homes in high-traffic areas. He enjoys walks and is well-behaved on a leash, sticking close by your side and looking to you for direction. Charlie would do best with an adopter who is home most of the time, as he is a bit of a sensitive soul and needs someone who can provide him with consistent, gentle guidance. He tends to gravitate toward women and would be most comfortable in an adult only home without children. He bonds deeply with one person and is happiest when he has a close connection with them. Charlie is still working on his potty training, so he will need a patient adopter who can continue to guide him as he learns. He doesn’t like to be smothered with attention but enjoys being near you and having his space. Charlie will make a loyal and loving companion to the right family who can offer him the time, patience, and love he deserves. He may take a little while to warm up, but once he does, you’ll have a deeply affectionate and loyal friend for life. Charlie is up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $600.

Story
Dan is a wonderfully sweet and intuitive 6-year-old boy with a heart full of love. He’s the perfect mix—always happy to join you for a walk or a game of fetch, yet just as content to nap at your feet while you work or relax. His favorite things are simple but precious: going to the beach and carrying his teddy bear around the house. Dan’s ideal home is calm and predictable, as he experiences mild seizures about every other month, and stress can be a trigger. Because of this, he’d do best in a peaceful home without other dogs or young children, though he’s friendly with both. He isn’t neutered on medical advice, as it could worsen his seizures. The seizures aren't a big deal; they just need to be monitored. We’re heartbroken to rehome him because his person—his mom—is fighting cancer and can no longer care for him. Dan deserves a loving, tranquil home where he can thrive and share his gentle heart every day.

He will need someone with a lot of time and patience to allow him the time and space he needs to start trusting you. Salty Dog will need a secure fenced in yard where he can be safe as he is learning to trust people. He would do best in a quieter home with 2 or fewer dogs so he can get the attention he needs. Would not be good in an apartment. Salty Dog is $300 to adopt, about 22 pounds, and 5 years old. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.This resilient poodle born around 10/2/2017 has been through a lot but is now ready for a loving home. Found on the streets with one of the worst cases of matting we’ve ever seen, his hair was so long it touched the ground. Sadly, neighborhood kids threw rocks at him as he ran through the streets, terrified and alone. It took an experienced trapper to safely bring him to our facility, where he arrived shaking and too scared to be touched by anyone. However, with time, patience, and care, he has blossomed into a wonderful companion. He now enjoys daily walks, loves being pet, gets the excitement zoomies, and gets along well with other dogs. He is a laid-back boy who especially gets excited for his leash time, happily joining other dogs on walks. Due to his past, he will need a home to give him patience to gain his trust. Once he has your trust, he will be your shadow and want nothing but love. He seems to be potty/house trained, as he will wait to use the bathroom when he gets walked. Fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, this sweet poodle is ready to find his forever home. His adoption fee is $300. Marley weighs around 20 pounds.   Could you be the one to give him the love he deserves?  Marley is currently in Texas, but transport is available to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, or anywhere along the East Coast.
