Story
Poppi is 3 years old. He was born in Thurston County on a Farm. He is high-energy, extremely loyal to his person, and loves quizzes and games. He needs a home that will continue to work through on-leash behaviors. He’s come a long way, and with proper management can be a great walker. He has no experience with children, and at first may take a second to warm up. If you love him, he will love you. He’s a big fluffy baby.

Story
Welcome to Carmen to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 1.5- to 2-year-old Poodle. She is very sweet and has the delicate frame of a poodle. She is affectionate and likes attention and being held. She is not a shedding dog. She came in and it was hard to determine her breed. We have some experienced groomer volunteers that groomed her and now we know. She is an adorable poodle. Her baby is Jelly Bean. She weighs about 13 pounds. She has nice longer legs and would be a nice walking companion. She is active but not over the top. A moderately active family with a condo sized yard would be sufficient. She is smart and will make some lucky family a great companion. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older due to her trusting nature and delicate frame. She is not a shedder and will make a good pet for a family who is allergic or who don’t like to clean up dog hair. She is good with other dogs and good in a crate. She may not have many commands under her belt at the moment but she is eager to please and smart. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 600 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
Meet Arthur! My name is Arthur and I am a young, good-natured, and affectionate mixed-breed dog that weighs 65# and I would love to make your acquaintance.  They say I am very popular with the ladies, but buddies are cool too. I like being outside on sunny days, although I consider myself an indoor dog.  I really just prefer to be where my people are.  I am potty-trained and I sleep on my own bed next to my stepsister.  I’ve recently been neutered and I have had my first set of shots and something called a microchip.  I am happy all of the time and I still feel like a puppy a lot of days. I have a lot of energy that I need to manage, but once I get a little tired out, I can settle down and relax like everybody else.  As I get older, it will start to get easier for me. To help me manage it now, I like to be taken on long walks that give me plenty of time to smell the flowers.  A hike is even better! My leash skills are pretty good, but I’m young and I am still working on them.  I still get distracted a little…bit… …was that a Squirrel?!! I am very athletic and I bet I can keep up with any human!  I like to run and jump, and I have a very graceful trot where I just glide along the ground.   It just comes naturally, I guess.  I like playing in the water when the hose comes out, and I can jump very high to try to bite the stream and then chase it all over.  My stepsister just watches, but I think it’s great fun!  I like shaking my stuffed animal toys (but not too hard my foster says) and playing tug-of-war with old towels. I wish the whole world could be my playground! I have been staying with my foster family for about a month now and we have been getting along great! They have a nice big yard for me to run in, my stepsister gives me somebody to annoy, and they are super nice to me. They give me food!   I just think I’m ready to find my forever home now.  Once I do, I will want to stay with my people always.  I think I would like it if I wasn’t the only dog.  I don’t really like being by myself too much and always prefer company.  When I find that, I will be the happiest dog in the world! I’ve been getting a lot of attention in my current home, some structure, and a familiarity to their schedule.   I am very food motivated and it always seems like I’m hungry.  My stepfamily has been teaching me a lot.  Everybody tells me that I’m super smart! Arthur is vaccinated, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $450 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! Story
Meet Vanilla! This sweet girl was found as a stray in a rural area. Her coat was in a shocking state and sadly her entire body had to be shaved to get rid of all the mats.  She is around 2-3 years old and weighs 8 lbs. Vanilla is a sweet girl, very gentle and loving. She can be a little bit shy initially. When she is comfortable she likes to play. She is generally an easy going girl. She's working on potty training and getting the hang of it. It will need some continued focus when she moves into a new setting.  Vanilla is spayed, vaccinated and chipped. Her adoption fee is $425 We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
