Story
UPDATE!!&#226&#156&#168 We saved these puppies from a terrible situation last week. They were skinny, sickly and loaded with fleas and parasites. Thankfully two amazing fosters stepped up and these babies are now thriving. They are Terrier/Heeler mixes and we believe will be smaller medium sized adults. They were terrified when they arrived but their little personalities have come out and they are happy babies now.  They don’t meet a stranger and love romping and playing with others. They are 12 weeks old and 7ish lbs. They are utd, dewormed and altered.  Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter! Puppies will be altered before adoption. All rescues and shelters practice pediatric spay and neuter. This is essential in our rescue efforts and it is a policy that we will stick by. All dogs over 8 weeks and 2 pounds will be altered before adoption. There are no exceptions to this rule on all healthy and adoptable dogs. We have researched and discussed in depth with multiple vets everything on pediatric spay and neuter and from a rescue stand point it must be done. Please do not ask for an extension on spay and neutering, it will NOT be granted on a healthy puppy!  Puppies/Dogs that are not available for adoption due to vetting not being complete can be reserved with an approved application and a non refundable $50 deposit. Deposits can ONLY be submitted once the rescue has been in contact on your approval and it has been requested through Wags and Whiskers. This deposit is applied to your adoption fee and the remaining $125 is due at pick up. Wags and Whiskers is an all-volunteer rescue. We also have full-time jobs and Families. All questions and comments must go directly through the rescue. Thank you for your understanding. Story
NEWBIE ALERT!! Meet Reba. Reba is around 6-8 months old and 27.4 lbs. Reba loves to give kisses and wants nothing more than to be a lap baby.  We believe she is a heeler/hound mix. She’s a sweet girl who loves all people. She’s still young and has puppy w very. Reba loves to play fetch with a ball or soft frisbee. She plays well with other dogs. Reba will chase kitties. Reba knows sit and down with treats or if there are no other distractions. She’s learning leash walking and loves the outdoors. She’s a great family pup. Reba is fully vetted, altered and ready for a home to call her own. Our adoptions are NOT on a first come first serve basis and there is no fee to apply! We never state any animal is fully House-trained. New environments, situations, families, routines, ect. can lead to accidents even with the most well trained animals.  All dogs have a $175 adoption fee which includes vet check, age appropriate shots (atleast 2 sets for puppies), dewormer, heartworm test (if over 6 months), rabies (if atleast 16 weeks) and spay/neuter!
