Story
Summer is an 8 month old female Australian Cattle Dog mix, and is a shy, gentle and super sweet pup who is SO deserving of her forever home. Although listed as a Cattle Dog, she has the beautiful looks and size of a fox, and is almost as timid as one also. When new people approach, she often retreats to the back of her pen, watching quietly with cautious curiosity. It’s easy to understand why - she and her siblings were brought into the shelter as puppies, and life hasn’t yet shown her all the kindness she deserves.  But with a little patience, gentle words, and a few soft treats, Summer begins to open up - and when she does, it’s pure magic. She gives hopeful smiles, wags her tail, and her whole face lights up with affection. Beneath her timidity lies a deeply loving spirit, one that’s just waiting for someone to believe in her. Summer is the kind of dog who captures your heart with her quiet sweetness, the kind you can’t help but want to protect and nurture. She is so deserving of a loving home, where she can finally know what it’s like to be a cherished member of a family. Give her that, and she will fill your life with love, gratitude, and joy beyond measure. The adoption fee covers the following: spay or neuter surgery; one-year rabies vaccine; feline or canine distemper vaccine; heartworm test (dogs) or combo (fiv/felv) test (cats); deworming; and microchip.Carroll County Animal Shelter is located at 251 Automation Drive in Carrollton GA. Story
Sawyer is an 8 month male Heeler mix with a stunning spotted coat and a smile that could melt anyone’s heart. But there is so much more to this handsome pup than good looks - he is super sweet, affectionate, and a little bit silly in the most charming way. Though he can be shy when meeting new people, it’s the kind of shyness that tugs at your heartstrings, as Sawyer clearly wants to connect but just needs a moment to feel safe. Once he warms up, his gentle and loving nature shines through. Sawyer has quickly learned leash training, and he will follow your lead, letting you set the pace. He especially enjoys getting to run and play in the park area, while also exploring scents with curious delight. Sawyer also seems dog-friendly, politely greeting other pups and running along the fenceline with them. So if you're looking for a devoted companion who will grow with you, love you unconditionally, and fill your days with warmth and joy, Sawyer could be your perfect match.
