Story
Meet Shayna – a petite (just 35 lbs!) bundle of love and energy who's ready to make your life a little brighter! This sweet, playful girl is around 1 year and 1 month old, and (we think) she’s a delightful mix of Dutch Shepherd and Cattle Dog. Shayna was rescued from Pima Animal Care Center after being surrendered by her owner due to health issues, and now she's looking for her new forever home! Shayna is super smart and eager to please, which makes her an excellent learner. She knows “sit” for treats and is working on perfecting her leash skills – she’d probably be an awesome trail buddy for someone who loves outdoor adventures! Not only is she potty trained, but she’s also a pro at using the doggy door. When you come home, get ready for a big, enthusiastic welcome from Shayna! She’s always excited to see you and loves to shower you with affection. She enjoys snuggling up for tummy rubs, and while she happily sleeps in her own dog bed at night, she’d love the opportunity to curl up with you if you’re open to it. This girl loves her outdoor time and can often be found lounging in the yard, soaking up the sunshine (or just contemplating life). Shayna gets along well with her two female canine roommates, but we’re not sure how she feels about cats just yet. And yes – she still has some puppy energy! Get ready for the occasional zoomies when she’s feeling extra playful. Shayna has been spayed, is up-to-date on her shots, heartworm negative, and is just waiting to meet the right family who will give her all the love and attention she deserves. Could that family be you?

Story
Tucker is a fun, cuddly, miniature pincher mixed with a blue heeler. He loves treats and snuggling on the couch and looking out the window at people walking. He is approximately two years old and was adopted as a stray in 2023 from Pima animal control. We are rehousing Tucker because he can be possessive over his spot on the couch, especially around young children, which I have. His possessiveness can also lead to aggression in the form of growling and attempted nipping. He has also shown some unfriendly herding behavior at times when we are out in the yard. At this point, we need to re-house Tucker out of fear of any potential aggression he can have towards young children. Tucker would be a great dog for a retiree or a home without children. Tucker struggles on walks when he sees other dogs (whining/barking), but loves to chase a ball around the yard. Played well with my sister’s dogs but has little exposure with other dogs. Super cute and soft. He loves belly rubs and squeaky toys.

Story
This beauty was wondering in our park and attached herself to me. After trying several names she responded to Lily and thus Lily was created. I took her to PACC to see if she was chipped, she was not. I decided to foster her as the shelters were overflowing. I fell in love with this beautiful girl so I adopted her not realizing how strong she would become. My health issues require me to rehome her. Lily's age is not exact, they estimated she was 6 months old at that time. Her birthday was selected as Nov. 1st, making her 15 months old now. She loves to play, loves to cuddle. For the first few months she did very well with the other dogs in the park, then she would only tolerate 3 dogs. Now she only has one playmate, and tolerates her "big" brother only because I intervene. I feel Lily would be a great dog if she had the room to run and play, and training. She knows some basic commands.
