The Humane Society was fortunate to be chosen as the host rescue for a visit of skilled walkers who spent time with a many of the shelter’s canines. Ten-month-old Sundance showed off his quiet, responsive nature as he accompanied a human that he had never before met on an hour-long “let’s just have fun” journey. His impressive “just am glad to be with you” attitude was obvious as he proudly walked with his new friend while displaying a non-stop smile and a poised, comfortable, and disciplined presence. On the day of the photo session, the Sundance Kid showed a lot of patience with the photographer as his bandana was being clumsily attached. He also performed a willing sit on request, got along wonderfully with other canines and really wanted to please. You will be an instant friend and know that Sundance accepts you for who you are. This is a marvelous dog.

Winston is a 2-year-old guy with a big personality and an even bigger heart. While he doesn’t know any basic commands just yet, he’s eager and willing to learn, making him a great candidate for training with someone patient and committed. Winston will need plenty of work on leash manners, as he tends to pull, but with consistency and guidance he has all the potential to improve. He has quite a bit of energy and will enjoy regular exercise and playtime, but when the day winds down, Winston’s favorite place to be is right next to his people. He’s a cuddler at heart and loves quality time with those he trusts. With structure, love, and a little training, Winston will make a loyal and affectionate companion.Breed is based on physical features. All shelter animals are considered to be a mixture of breeds.
