Story
Rico 6655 Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Beagle Mix Rogers, AR Young Male Large Petfinder recommends that you should always take reasonable security steps before making online payments. Meet Rico 6655 Rico is a very handsome canine who enjoys looking at you with eyes that are invitingly whimsical and playfully alert. He has a quiet, calm nature and interacts wonderfully with other doggies, especially Mikey, Patriot and Punkin who all share the same exercise yard. Rico enjoys going for long walks and shows his respect for his human as he gently accepts well-deserved treats. It isn’t often that you find a dog who will show off his skills in the backyard version of Bocce Ball. The game is recommended for ages three and up…. but being a canine, 1-year-old Rico will qualify in doggy years. He is hoping to be adopted into a family who will include him in playful activities. Rico promised that he would let others win occasionally. Probably not much to worry about…. he is not very good at Spocking and prefers to use the softer tennis balls in place of the usual rock-hard Bocce ball. At the end of the session, Rico came up to the human and gave a number of gentle touches to his hand, not so subtly asking for another round of canine Bocce Ball. The photographer politely turned down the opportunity for a playoff, knowing full well that the human was going to come in last place for the second time in one afternoon. Rico invites your challenge and welcomes your friendship.

Story
Leia 6890 Border Collie & Shepherd Mix Rogers, AR Young Female Medium Petfinder recommends that you should always take reasonable security steps before making online payments. Meet Leia 6890 The photographer loves his chance to watch the entertainment provided by Humane Society canines. He was old enough to wait in a line stretching around a large city block to eventually get access to a first day showing of Star Wars and was rewarded a seat at the end of the front row closest to the curved screen. It was a blurry but mind-blowing entrance into the new world of Sci Fi ambiance. For those of you who never had that chance, the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers, AR gives you an opportunity to experience the romance, the adventure and the awe-inspiring action of Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker, living the quest in real-life, and real-time canine 3D. Leia, and her brother Luke, never stopped their performance for the entire 45 minute show and brought smiles and cheers from all the HS volunteers who were lucky enough to find a guaranteed, free-admission “seat” along the encompassing bark park fence. The youthful 9-month-old thespians hugged, tugged, and out-witted all the Evil Empire Stormtrooper squeakies, even those cleverly disguised as a surreal green Gumby. All the squeakies survived for an assumed sequel with the exception of a Wampas, whose snowy remains were strewn about as Leia and Luke looked on with smiles of accomplishment as they proudly and synchronously wagged their white tipped tails. Leia and Luke are friendly, fun-loving, and joyful pups who are hoping to share their lives with humans who will join them in the ultimate adventure.

Luke 6891 Australian Shepherd & Shepherd Mix Rogers, AR Young Male Medium Petfinder recommends that you should always take reasonable security steps before making online payments. Meet Luke 6891 The photographer loves his chance to watch the entertainment provided by Humane Society canines. He was old enough to wait in a line stretching around a large city block to eventually get access to a first day showing of Star Wars and was rewarded a seat at the end of the front row closest to the curved screen. It was a blurry but mind-blowing entrance into the new world of superb Sci Fi ambiance. For those of you who never had that chance, the Humane Society for Animals in Rogers, AR gives you an opportunity to experience the romance, the adventure and the awe-inspiring action of Luke Skywalker and Princess Liea, living the quest in real-life, and real-time canine 3D. Luke and his sister Leia, never stopped their performance for the entire 45 minute show and brought smiles and cheers from all the HS volunteers who were lucky enough to find a guaranteed, free-admission “seat” along the encompassing bark park fence. The youthful 9-month-old thespians hugged, tugged, and out-witted all the Evil Empire Stormtrooper squeakies, even those cleverly disguised as a surreal green Gumby. All the toys chosen for the cinematic fun-and-games survived for an assumed sequel with the exception of a Wampas, whose snowy remains were strewn about the entire bark park. The tennis ball, the vintage Gumby, and a doggy sized soft, cuddly Teddy Bear surprisingly were granted immunity. Luke showed his manly super-star status by having enough courage to unabashedly wear a pink bandana profusely decorated with red heart highlights. Or it could have been attributed to the near-sightedness of the photographer who didn’t look closely enough at Luke’s understandably miniature apparatus and assumed that he was a she until midway through the photo session when it became time for a potty break. The pups, who often seem to have an intrinsic sentience, smiled at the human with understanding, compassion, and laughter. Luke and Leia are friendly, fun-loving, and joyful pups who are hoping to share their lives with humans who will join them in the ultimate adventure.

Doku 6904 Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler & Husky Mix Rogers, AR Young Female Large Petfinder recommends that you should always take reasonable security steps before making online payments. Meet Doku 6904 As do most canines on their first visit to the Humane Society bark park, Doku enjoyed 3 minutes of total freedom as she dashed and flashed about in exploratory ecstasy. Then she became intensely interested in the human who was sharing the bark park space with her. Her captivating smile started and never left her face for the entire photo session. Well, almost the whole session. 9-month-old Doku discovered the playful joy of leaping sky high in pursuit and eventual capture of a bark park favorite, the “spring” chicken squeaky. It was rather difficult to perform an ear-to-ear smile with a mouth stuffed full of a fluffy, best of the park squeaky. The smile returned as she hustled over to the human and deposited the toy at the feet of the totally undeserving but amused human. Doku sits on request and when called, will come flying across the park as she does her best to please her human. Doku is a beautiful canine with a sparkling smile and a playful, “I am your best friend” personality.

Story
Lily was adopted from our local animal control, 4 years ago as a stray and has adjusted well to being a house dog. She is extremely sweet and an amazing dog. She is great with dogs her size or smaller, but can be over-submissive and is sometimes bullied. She does great with kids of all ages, and enjoys running around with them outside or sitting with them as they read and relax. You will often find her sitting at one of her people’s feet while they work or walking around the house seeing what everyone is doing. She loves to explore outside and go for walks or jogs. Lily knows most basic commands, and is food motivated. She enjoys routine and schedule, but will adapt quickly to changes and enjoys the occasional trip to dog daycare. She will be your best friend and closest ally, and will love to join your pack.
