Story
We adopted Gertie from the Bentonville animal shelter when she was 5 months old and just a puppy. She had been on the streets and we were told that she was a a dachshund mix. After we had her for a while, We had her genealogy tested and it turns out that she's actually a Australian cattle dog (Red heeler) and a basset hound. She definitely attributes more towards the red heeler with her energy level and endurance. She's a very high energy dog and needs someone that is very active. I don't have a fenced in yard so walking her on a leash is my only option, but she deserves much more activity. She is house trained and knows the command "Let go" to release toys and such. She currently weighs 29 lbs. and the vet says that she is at her max size.

Big Steve is a lover, not a fighter, and he's happy to make new friends - both human and canine - as long as they're not too bossy. He's a big softie who loves nothing more than a good snuggle, but he's also full of energy and ready to play when the time is right. If you're looking for a furry companion who's as curious as he is cuddly, Big Steve is the one for you! Big Steve is an adult, but he's always acted like a puppy at heart, so you'll never know he's not a young whippersnapper. So, if you're ready for a Big Steve in your life, come and meet him today!

Story
Maverick (Mavy) is a very sweet dog, he's a velcro dog he'll follow you everywhere, seat with you, sleep with you and overall a very loving dog, when he gets super happy he'll give you a big smile and show you his teeth but don't let his smile fool you because he's very protective of his people and his home he won't hesitate on going after the ankle of an intruder, and he won't back down, he's 100% indoor and only goes out to potty or for walks, he's been very spoiled and we'll like to go to a home where he can be spoiled the same, he does good with some dogs but not so good with others, is hard to tell... he's very jealous and wants all the attention for himself so I'd prefer him to go to a home where he'll be the only king of the house.
