Story
Viewable in Shelter: Yes, in dog kennels.***Meet Stella!Stella is a herding breed mix who is bursting with energy! If you're looking for an energetic pup to go on adventures with, look no further! She is a very sweet girl who loves to be with people, often displaying her enthusiasm by hopping and jumping up. She will need some assistance learning to keep all four paws on the floor, but will thrive with positive reinforcement techniques. In order to keep her mind happy and healthy, she will need a lot of mental stimulation. Treat puzzles, tricks, and games are all great activities for this busy pup! It's important to note that herding breeds, such as heelers and border collies, need to work their brains to prevent undesirable behaviors from occurring. Any potential adopter will need to be prepared to meet the needs of this amazing pup!***Thank you for your interest in adopting! Do you think you could be Stella's person? Story
** Currently fostered in Houston Texas, but available for adoption out of state via rescue transportation, included in adoption fee. Offer Zoom call to virtually meet prior to adoption. Meet Barkley! This sweet baby wandered up on someone's property. He was wearing a harness on that had the brand name boots and barkley, so that's where the finder got his name. Barkley was chipped, but unfortunately it was not registered. It shows that he was adopted in January2023, and that he is estimated about 5 years of age. He currently weighs around 55 lbs and we believe him to be a border collie/cattle dog mix. He has energy and he loves to run and play, but can be a couch potato too. His favorite thing in the world is to play fetch with a ball! Barkley likes other dogs if they are female, but has not been a fan of males. We believe it's from a lack of social time with other dogs because he doesn't come off as just an aggressive pup, he just seems like he was kept in a yard and ignored a lot of the time prior to rescue and may not be familiar with most dogs. Barkley clearly knows his basic commands, such as sit, kennel, shake and settle. He is highly toy and food motivated and responds wonderfully to focused training. With continued training, we could even see him being an agility pup! Barkley is crate trained, housebroken and does well on leash. He is fully vetted, meaning he us neutered, up to date on all vaccines, microchipped and on monthly preventions for flea, tick and heartworm. For more information on how to adopt Barkley, contact us at MokasMission@Gmail.com for an application.
