Sam is a Queensland red heeler, about 5 years old. 50lbs. He came from a backyard breeding situation and was rescued by Brandon McMillan [and is in his Stray Recon episode].  He is a little shy, but he's quickly coming out of it and we are working with him to help gain confidence and trust. He's come a long way already - he's friendly to the volunteers and is walking on a leash and absolutely loves water. He's still cautious of strangers - he just needs to learn to trust and sense that you are kind and caring. Beautiful, healthy boy who has been vetted and is ready to go now to his forever home.   Available to a home with no dogs and no children.   He is neutered and has his shots. Peaches is 1 year old and @45-50 lbs. Brindle. She and her brothers Peanut (adopted) and Pecan were born in a barn to a feral mom. They came here shy as pups but have been warming up to people. Ranger is a bluetick heeler, 3 years old and 47 lbs. Friendly boy. He can walk well on a leash, and he was well behaved on his trip to the vet to get his shots. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Apprx 6-7 year old White Knight lived with a group of 15 other dogs in the desert for several years after their owner died. A good samaritan visited the pack several times a week to make sure they had food, water, and shelter, and little by little White Knight and a few others learned to trust him. During the summer of 2021, we all hatched a plan to get White Knight, his buddy Old Man, and Persephone out of there. Since then, White Knight and Old Man have been living with trainer Doug Price to learn how to relax, enjoy life, and trust humans. They will always be a bit shy, but White Knight has shown so much progress! And he loves to play with other dogs, even though he shakes a bit at first (see his videos). So we are hoping to find White Knight a home! Someone with love, time and patience to give him to allow him to settle in at his own pace. Adopting White Knight will also open up room to help another desert dog, so please consider adopting this special guy! Hi, my name is Buddy and that's all I want to be, your buddy! I don't know my exact breed right now but I know I'm a big good boy! I love going on walks with you, watching TV with you, playing fetch with you, snuggling with you and generally just wanting to be near you. I like all the attention and have a little trouble with smaller animals. I can be taught very easily because I'm very, very smart! I just need the attention and alpha attitude it takes, I also really love treats and listen very well if you have one. I really need a good home with lots of love to give me because I have all the love to give you!
