This beautiful dog was a stray that I picked up during a storm. She had no collar and ran to me. I took her to a local shelter and no one claimed her, so I adopted her. We already have a small 6 month old puppy, and we are not equipped to care for a larger dog at this time. She is not hyper, and actually has a gentle and docile personality. She will make a wonderful companion/pet to someone who has the time to walk her and love her. She is house trained and walks well on a leash.

Sweet, sweet Taco came to us all the way from Ensenada, Mexico, where he was rescued from the streets by a compassionate Canadian couple who then tried to find him a h9me with no success. They couldn't take him with him back to Canada when they left because they had 3 dogs already and couldn't add another one. They contacted Paw Parent and begged if we could take him. We managed to make room for him and welcomed him with open arms.He was quit shy at first but warmed up quickly and has blended in super well with the other dogs he has met. He is such an affectionate sweetheart and loves nothing more than to snuggle. And he has another amazing trait: he is fully house broken. The couple that found him said that he never had an accident in the house! How fabulous it that?He is quit mellow but gets super excited when he's getting attention from a favorite human.His love for people and life is so heartwarming and he can't wait to become someone's best friend. He weighs about 40 pounds and approximately one year old, is neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. I have had him since he was a puppy. He is about 1 year old (born February last year) and is a pit bull and Australian cattle dog mix. He has a beautiful and unique spotted coat and always gets compliments. He is very loving, playful, and affectionate. He loves attention, being pet, and being around people. He enjoys playing, running, and has a fun, energetic personality. He is also protective and does a great job watching the house, which makes him a great companion and family dog. He does best with older kids and would thrive in an active home where he can get plenty of exercise and love. He would do great with someone who enjoys walks, outdoor activities, or has space for him to run and play. This is a very hard and emotional decision for me. I am moving and unfortunately cannot take him with me, and my parents are not able to continue caring for him. My biggest priority is finding him a safe, stable, and loving forever home where he will be treated like family.

Sex: MaleBreed: Australian Cattle Dog x Birth Date: 6/15/2022Found abandoned in a basket with their mother who was leashed. These poor babies had a rough start to their very young lives. Our guess is they were likely abandoned because of the amount of work it takes to care for a litter of unexpected puppies. If only their momma had been spayed life would have been so much simpler. But thankfully this little family was helped by a Good Samaritan and made their way to Kern County Animal services where our foster picked them up once they’d completed a stray hold. The shelter is not a great environment for a mom and puppies and we are so grateful that a foster home stepped up for this crew. We have no idea who daddy is but we’re guessing there may be some German shepherd in their heritage just based on the coloring of some of the puppies. These sweet pups will be adoption ready in approximately 4 weeks so if you’re looking for a medium size dog to add to your family get those applications in!
