Story
Hi, I'm Elfie! 🤍 I've been told I'm a little... quirky. Personally, I like to think it makes me charming. I'm one of the rescue's longest residents, and while I've been waiting a long time for my forever family, I know my perfect person is out there somewhere. I like to take things slow when meeting new people. I'm not the kind of guy who falls in love with everyone the second we meet—I need a little time to get to know you and build trust. But once you're in my circle, you'll have a loyal best friend for life. I'm a big fan of going on walks, and everyone says I'm wonderful on a leash. I love exploring new places, sniffing all the interesting smells, and then heading home to relax. A quiet, predictable home where I can feel safe and comfortable is exactly what I'm looking for. I get along with some other dogs, but I'm a little picky about my friends (aren't we all?). Because I'm a bit of a quirky guy, I'd be happiest in an adults-only home with someone who understands that every dog is different and is willing to let me settle in at my own pace. Now, let's talk about the important things... treats! I'm a huge fan of snacks, especially pup cups, and if you spoil me a little, I definitely won't complain. A few treats, a comfy place to nap, and someone to love—that's really all I'm asking for. If you're looking for a dog who will instantly be everyone's best friend, that might not be me. But if you're looking for a one-of-a-kind companion who will reward your patience with unwavering loyalty and love, I just might be your perfect match. I've been waiting a long time to meet my person... maybe it's you. Adoption Fee: $295 Please Note: All potential adopters must be open to a home check and provide vet records to confirm that any dogs in the household are spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations. Story
Hi, I'm Jade! 💚🐾 I'm a beautiful 2-year-old Heeler mix, about 45 pounds, and while I can be a little shy at first, I promise I'm worth getting to know. Once I trust you, I'll be your most loyal, loving companion, always happy to be by your side. Life hasn't always been easy for me. I was found as a stray, so what I want most now is a place where I can finally feel safe, secure, and loved. I'm dreaming of a quiet home where life moves at a peaceful pace. One of my favorite things to do is go for walks. I walk beautifully on a leash and naturally like to stay close to my person. After our adventure, I'd be perfectly happy spending the rest of the day relaxing together at home. If you're someone who enjoys simple moments, I think we'd make a pretty great team. I also have a very important wish list for my forever home. I'd love a single-family home where I don't have to use an elevator—they're just not my favorite thing. I'd really love a home where I can sit by a window and watch the world go by. Seeing all the birds, squirrels, neighbors, and everyday excitement outside is one of my favorite ways to spend the day. I'm looking for an adults-only home where I can continue building my confidence in a calm, predictable environment. I get along well with other dogs, so I'd be happy to share my home with a respectful canine companion. Sometimes thunderstorms make me nervous, so I'll need someone who understands that I just need a little reassurance, patience, and a cozy place to feel safe until the storm passes. I'm not asking for a perfect life—just the right one. Someone who enjoys daily walks, quiet evenings at home, and giving a shy girl the time she needs to blossom. If you choose me, I promise to fill your home with loyalty, love, and plenty of sweet moments. I can't wait to meet you. Story
Hi, I’m Matilda! I’m a 1-year-old, 26-pound Blue Heeler mix, and I’m so thankful to finally be somewhere safe. I was recently rescued from a loud and scary shelter, where everything felt overwhelming and uncertain. Thankfully, Paws Fur Recovery came for me, and I’m already feeling so much more comfortable now that I know I’m safe and surrounded by people who care about me. I’ve been told that I’m a super sweet girl, and I have to agree! I absolutely love being around people and soaking up all the attention I can get. I also get along with other dogs, I’m house trained, and I walk well on a leash, so I think I’m going to make a pretty great adventure buddy. I can already picture my future: walks together, new places to explore, lots of time with my favorite person, and coming home at the end of the day knowing exactly where I belong. For now, I’ll keep enjoying my time at Paws Fur Recovery and dreaming about the family that’s out there looking for a girl just like me. I think the best adventure of my life is still ahead of me, and I can’t wait for the day I hear someone say… “Matilda is going home with us.” Adoption Fee: $295 Please Note: All potential adopters must be open to a home check and provide vet records to confirm that any dogs in the household are spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations. Meet HadesNot your couch all day kind of dog - and that is exactly what makes him great. He is the kind of dog who wants to be involved. Smart, aware, always paying attention… The type who learns fast and keeps you on your toes in the best way. If you like a dog with personality (and a little edge), Hades delivers. He does well with other dogs and thrives when he has space, freedom, and people around him. Crates are not his thing - but structure, consistency, and a home that understands the breed - That is where he shines! This is not a beginner dog. But for the right person, he is going to be an incredible partner.Local adoptions only. Breed experience preferred.Apply on our website or message us to meet him.
