Story
Elfie is our quirky, sweet boy who has been patiently waiting over a year for his forever home—and we just know the right family is out there for him. He has a special way of making everyone smile, and it’s no surprise that our staff and volunteers absolutely adore him.Elfie gets along well with other dogs and is a joy to walk—he’s great on a leash and loves heading out on new adventures. While he enjoys getting out and about, Elfie would truly thrive in a calm, relaxed environment where he can feel safe, comfortable, and loved. He’s a big fan of being spoiled with treats and pup cups (and he never says no to a little extra attention). Elfie has so much love to give and would make a loyal, gentle companion for someone ready to give him the forever home he’s been waiting so patiently for. Please Note:All potential adopters must be open to a home check and provide vet records to confirm that any dogs in the household are spayed/neutered and current on vaccinations.Apply DIRECTLY today:  https://pawsfurrecovery.org/adoption-application/May 4, 2026, 12:08 am

Story
Harry came into rescue with his siblings after being pulled from a high-risk shelter where dogs are euthanized for space—but you’d never guess it from his personality. This happy, confident boy is full of life and definitely likes to run the show. He’s got a big personality, a playful spirit, and the kind of charm that makes everyone fall for him. Harry loves being around other animals and is both dog and cat friendly, and he’d do great in a home with children. If you’re looking for a fun, outgoing pup who will keep you smiling and bring lots of energy and personality into your home, Harry might just be your guy.

Story
Hermione came into rescue with her siblings after being pulled from a high-risk shelter where dogs are euthanized for space. Since then, she’s been quietly blossoming into a truly special girl. She’s a gentle soul with the sweetest personality. Hermione can be a little shy when first meeting new people, but give her a little time and she warms up quickly, showing just how loving and affectionate she really is. She’s dog and cat friendly and would do well in a home with children, especially one that will give her the patience and reassurance she needs to fully come out of her shell. Hermione is the kind of pup who will form a deep, loyal bond with her person—she’s just waiting for someone to give her that chance.

Story
Meet HadesNot your couch all day kind of dog - and that is exactly what makes him great. He is the kind of dog who wants to be involved. Smart, aware, always paying attention… The type who learns fast and keeps you on your toes in the best way. If you like a dog with personality (and a little edge), Hades delivers. He does well with other dogs and thrives when he has space, freedom, and people around him. Crates are not his thing - but structure, consistency, and a home that understands the breed - That is where he shines! This is not a beginner dog. But for the right person, he is going to be an incredible partner.Local adoptions only. Breed experience preferred.Apply on our website or message us to meet him.

Story
Where are my blue heeler people?Meet KodaKoda is an Australian Cattle Dog, almost 5 years old, with a big personality and an even bigger heart. She is the kind of dog who bonds deeply with her person - once you are hers, you will have a loyal companion who will happily shower you with affection and lots of kisses.Koda is smart, active, and loves to be engaged. Walks and playing frisbee are some of her favorite things, and she thrives when she has both physical activity and a person to connect with. She has been raised as an indoor dog and enjoys being part of the home. She does best in a quieter, adult home. Koda is not comfortable around young children and needs time to warm up to new people. With patience and the right environment, she settles in beautifully and becomes incredibly devoted. She currently lives with cats and does great with them - she even plays and runs around the house with one of her feline friends. With other dogs, she can be selective, so a meet-and-greet would be important if there are other pets in the home.Like many dogs, Koda is not a fan of thunderstorms or vet visits, so she will do best with someone who understands how to support her through those moments.Ideal Home:Adult-only homeSomeone experienced with herding breeds or confident dogsA calm, structured environmentActive lifestyle with walks, play and engagementPossibly as an only dog or with a compatible matchKoda is a special dog who just needs the right fit. In the right home, she will be an incredibly loyal, loving, and fun companion. Please complete an application on our website if you are interested. Local adoptions only.
