This sweet boy was born in the deserts of El Paso, Texas, where packs of wild dogs roam freely. Thankfully, a kind-hearted Good Samaritan rescued him and his entire litter, giving them a chance at a better life. After weeks of socialization, he and his brother made their way to Florida in search of their forever homes. He’s an affectionate, playful pup who loves to cuddle! Though initially a bit shy, once he trusts you, he’s the most loyal companion. He’s crate-trained and gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids. However, he thrives in a home with other dogs, as he looks to them for comfort and confidence. Sadly, he has spent his entire puppyhood in rescue, waiting for the loving family he deserves. After more than a year with us, it’s time for him to experience what it truly means to have a home. Could you be the one to show him that love?

Story
Harley is a super sweet and goofy, very active, 35 lb, 3 year old Australian shepherd/cattle dog mix who loves cuddles, playing in her doggy pool, and learning new tricks. She is highly trainable and so so smart; we have taught her the names of all of her favorite toys and she can distinguish between them! She is reactive and fearful in that she barks at other dogs on walks but with training she has learned to love young puppies and older male dogs. Unfortunately, she is no longer getting along with our other female dog, even after trying to train them both, they just don't get along and our other female is in a bonded pair with our male dog. She would be a great addition to a family who wants one dog. She is good with cats and we have seen her good with school age children after they give her some treats.

He has the temperament of a working dog and may be trained for agility and dock diving. He has herded sheep and is very good at it. This is a dog for someone who understands and appreciates the breed. Cattle dogs are bred to work on farms and are strong and smart dogs. Harry rides well in the car and sleeps in his crate at night.
