After being adopted, Spot was returned because it turned out he needed a more experienced adopter who could better meet his needs—it was simply not the right fit. Spot is a little under-socialized, which means he hasn’t had enough chances to learn about the world yet. With time, patience, and training, he can grow more confident and comfortable. He would do best with a handler who enjoys teaching and is willing to spend time helping him succeed. Spot can get frustrated when there is a barrier, like a window or a fence, but this does not mean he is aggressive. He is still learning how to manage his excitement and feelings in those moments. He does well with other dogs and can make friends when given slow, proper introductions. With structure, guidance, and kindness, Spot has so much potential to shine. Spot is looking for a home that understands him and is ready to help him learn and grow. In return, he’ll be a loyal companion who just needs the right person on his team.
