Story
Max is a very smart loving dog that just needs a home with either a job to do or a very active family. he is estimated to be five years old, but he acts and looks a lot younger. my dad has gotten old and his health is declining, and we have not been able to provide him with the adequate amount of time. he would love to go to a farm with larger cattle, just no chickens because they excite him a bit too much. He is very smart and picks up on tricks very quickly, in our short time with him he has learned sit, lay down, shake, and wait. he loves playing with other dogs at the dog park, and did okay living with our dog but did have some jealousy issues and would likely be happier not in a two dog home. he has never tried to hurt our cats but does obsessively try to herd them, as is common with the breed. Fun fact, Max absolutely adores swimming! if you're looking for a loyal hiking buddy or a smart farm dog please consider Max ♥

Story
My name is Ezra! I am very sweet and love to play around. I love toys, treats, and hanging out with my friends! It would be best if I went home to a fully fenced yard. If you have another pet at home, we can do a meet and greet to see how we get along! Before considering adding me to your life, please make sure you have the appropriate amount of time, space, and resources available to care for me for my lifetime.

Story
Jack, and his sister Jill, our 6-month-old littermates that came to us from a very small rural shelter in southern Utah. They weren't getting any interest there. They are already spayed and neutered, working on housebreaking and crate training. Excellent with other dogs and children. These dogs will make excellent outdoor exploring partners, jogging, running partners, biking, kayaking and rough housing in the yard partners

Story
Goose is a big dog, in a very small package. He may be purebred, just lacking a lot of color. He is non aggressive and great with other dogs and cats. He is very smart, athletic, loyal and friendly (once he knows you) it takes him a minute to accept strangers, he's a little under socialized. He loves his crate, and squeaky toys.

Story
A Loving and Dedicated Mama! Meet Aunt Bethany! Aunt Bethany is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area (see information below in the “Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue” section). Searching for that perfect addition to your fun, old-fashioned family Christmas (or any holiday, really)? Look no further than Aunt Bethany, mama of the Christmas Vacation litter, born October 14, 2025. Aunt Bethany keeps her wits about her as she raises eight adorable Australian kelpie mix puppies with striking lighter colored eyes. We rescued this charming family from a euthanasia list at a Texas shelter; now they are eager to embrace the season and spread joy in new homes in the PNW. Lovely mama Aunt Bethany is a medium size, mixed breed dog with tawny brown fur and white socks. She has striking yellow-amber eyes. Loving, gentle, and a dedicated mom to her pups, Aunt Bethany cares for her babies while sneaking in a little well-deserved “me time” when she can. She loves to find items like toys or shoes to take back to her bed (she doesn’t chew anything; she just likes to collect things). She also enjoys little snuggles and scratches when she can take a break from the pups.  Aunt Bethany has a sweet disposition and demure personality; she would do well in a quieter, calmer household. We are taking applications for Aunt Bethany now, and she will be able to go home with an adopter once her pups are weaned, and she has been spayed. In the meantime, Aunt Bethany and her puppies are settling into a foster home. Aunt Bethany quickly learned to use the doggy door to let herself out to potty. As the puppies become less dependent on her, she will begin leash and obedience training. We will be learning more about Aunt Bethany in the coming days, so please check back for more information. Our Christmas Vacation pups agree that “the most enduring traditions of the season are best enjoyed in the warm embrace of kith and kin.” Want to make Aunt Bethany’s Christmas wishes come true this season? Visit our website to learn how you can adopt Aunt Bethany today! What is Path of Hope Rescue’s Adoption Process? Our adoption process takes on average 7-10 days. Begin by completing the online application. EVERY application receives an email response from us (check your spam folder!). Your personal Matchmaker will contact you, help you find your perfect pup match, and guide you through the process. Meet your potential pup at the home of the foster family (the process may differ slightly for long distance adopters). Bring your potential pup home for a no commitment In Home Trial. In Home Trials are a minimum of (2) nights for a puppy and one week for an adult. Your Matchmaker will check in with you during this time. Sign the adoption paperwork and adopt your new family member! Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process. Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs a year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations (when age appropriate) and deworming and heartworm treatment/prevention. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course. Long Distance adopters (one hour or more from Spokane) may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon. About Path of Hope Rescue At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. Our two employees and army of volunteers focus on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes. We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment. Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog’s transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events. Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process. ##2228491##

He is a perfect smallish-medium size, roughly 40lbs with the cutest little bobtail (half tail) He is neutered, vaccinated (core DHPP & Rabies), he is microchipped and has had deworming treatment. What I can say about Rowdy ‘Riffic is that he has been in foster for a few months while we got to know him and he is AWESOME. He is very engaged with training, is super smart, & VERY food motivated. He is very much a heeler but is also soooo sweet and a total cuddle buddy. He is great with other dogs in a small group (chaos and over stimulation is kryptonite for a heelers instincts to herd and nip) and is great with my cat Mack too. He is crate trained and when he is in the house he wears a belly band for two reasons #1 he occasionally will attempt to lift his leg but #2 somewhere along the line he developed a coping behavior (likely from stress) where he mouths/chews his upper thigh area causing the beginning of granulomas and a belly band helps him to not have access to it. He is doing it less and less every day now that he has a stable environment where he getting his mental, physical, and emotional needs met. If you are interested in Rowdy: ** You MUST be active and live an active lifestyle. **You MUST be committed to crate training and setting clear boundaries and expectations to ensure his mental & physical needs are met daily.  **You MUST enroll in and complete the @methodk9 Basic Foundation program (we are able to offer a 50% discount for our approved adopters) ##1847781##
