Story
Beautiful Maya came back to us after being adopted as a puppy. Her adopters were sad to see her go, but we promised them that we'd find Maya the perfect home. Maya is a very fearful gal who will require multiple meet and greets with her adopters to truly feel comfortable. We believe she'd do best in a quiet home without kids under 14. Once Maya warms up to someone, she is a gentle lady who loves cuddles. She loves fetch and bacon-flavored treats. She has some resource guarding tendencies that would be further discussed with any potential adopter. Story
Bru is a special boy who needs a special home. It can take him a while to warm up, but once he warms up to his people, he is a wiggly, playful boy with lots of love to give! Bru LOVES playing fetch and playing in the pool. Bru is potty-trained and very, very sweet. Bru can be somewhat shy with strangers, and he can be easily frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Because of this we are hopeful that his future home will be a quiet one without children under the age of fourteen. Bru does have a history of resource guarding which will be discussed further at the time of adoption. Due to his history of resource guarding, he may do best as only pet. Story
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE SHARE!!! This poor girl is still stuck in our shelter! This wonderful pup deserves a wonderful home! WAIVED ADOPTION FEE! We need to get her out of the shelter! With all of the recent intake the noise is enough to make anyone crazy, now imagine being a dog that is already sensitive to the presense of other of other dogs, and make her stay there 24 hours a day! She just needs a human that has no other pets. Miss Cocoa is a 6 year old Red Heeler, perhaps better known as an Australian Cattle Dog. She is a gem of a pup that has overcome some tough situations. Due to no fault of her own, sweet Cocoa was surrendered by her owner when they fell ill and could no longer care for her. At that time Cocoa came to us where she was taken into a loving foster home and her medical needs were addressed. This lovely lady has be patiently waiting, now she is ready to find her new family! Her little nose will always look different, but there has actually been marked improvement in the condition of the tissue. After extensive testing and treatment her vet reports that her nose is not likely to cause long term issues but they recommend keeping her nose out of strong sunlight for long periods of time. Cocoa's nose may look different, but that doesn't mean she is any less beautiful! Not only is she pretty and smart, but she is also as sweet a dog as any you have ever met! She loves humans with all her heart. She is not a big fan of other dogs though, so she will need a home where she is the only pet. Because of this barrier, we have decided to WAIVE her adoption fee!! If you are interested in adopting this pup, please fill out an application, using the link below. Please specify which dog you are interested in. Applications without a specific dog, or otherwise incomplete, will not be considered. Adoption fee is WAIVED!! Includes spay/neuter, current vaccines, and microchipping. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ITAV/Dog For more pictures and information on this pup, please visit our website at https://www.ittakesavillage.dog/adopt
