This sweet girl is still stuck in the shelter, and our hearts are breaking for her.
Miss Cocoa, a 6-year-old Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog), is a true gem of a pup who has already overcome so much. She was heartbreakingly surrendered when her first owner became too ill to care for her. After time in a loving foster home and receiving medical care, Cocoa was adopted and then returned months later. So she is once again looking for a new family.
💔 Cocoa’s unique little nose may look different, but it’s actually shown marked improvement with treatment. Her vet says it’s not likely to cause long-term issues, though she should avoid strong sunlight for long periods. Her appearance doesn’t define her—it’s her kind heart and gentle spirit that shine brightest.
🏡 Cocoa is a people-lover through and through. She is sweet, loyal, affectionate, and loves soaking up human attention. However, she’s not a fan of other pets, so she needs to be the only animal in the home. And because of that, her adoption fee has been completely WAIVED—because we know her perfect person is out there, and we just need to find them.
