Story
Beautiful Maya came back to us after being adopted as a puppy. Her adopters were sad to see her go, but we promised them that we'd find Maya the perfect home. Maya is a very fearful gal who will require multiple meet and greets with her adopters to truly feel comfortable. We believe she'd do best in a quiet home without kids under 14. Once Maya warms up to someone, she is a gentle lady who loves cuddles. She loves fetch and bacon-flavored treats. She has some resource guarding tendencies that would be further discussed with any potential adopter. Story
Bru is a special boy who needs a special home. It can take him a while to warm up, but once he warms up to his people, he is a wiggly, playful boy with lots of love to give! Bru LOVES playing fetch and playing in the pool. Bru is potty-trained and very, very sweet. Bru can be somewhat shy with strangers, and he can be easily frightened by loud noises or sudden movements. Because of this we are hopeful that his future home will be a quiet one without children under the age of fourteen. Bru does have a history of resource guarding which will be discussed further at the time of adoption. Due to his history of resource guarding, he may do best as only pet. Story
🐾 WAIVED ADOPTION FEE – Please SHARE! This sweet girl is still stuck in the shelter, and our hearts are breaking for her. Miss Cocoa, a 6-year-old Red Heeler (Australian Cattle Dog), is a true gem of a pup who has already overcome so much. She was heartbreakingly surrendered when her first owner became too ill to care for her. After time in a loving foster home and receiving medical care, Cocoa was adopted and then returned months later. So she is once again looking for a new family. 💔 Cocoa’s unique little nose may look different, but it’s actually shown marked improvement with treatment. Her vet says it’s not likely to cause long-term issues, though she should avoid strong sunlight for long periods. Her appearance doesn’t define her—it’s her kind heart and gentle spirit that shine brightest. 🏡 Cocoa is a people-lover through and through. She is sweet, loyal, affectionate, and loves soaking up human attention. However, she’s not a fan of other pets, so she needs to be the only animal in the home. And because of that, her adoption fee has been completely WAIVED—because we know her perfect person is out there, and we just need to find them. 🎉 Why Cocoa is amazing: ✔ 6 years old – the perfect age for companionship without the chaos of a young pup ✔ Loyal, loving, and incredibly sweet ✔ Potty trained and past the puppy phase ✔ Medical needs have been addressed ✔ Adoption fee waived! 👉 Please, help us get this beautiful girl out of the shelter and into a home where she can finally relax and be loved like she deserves. If you or someone you know can open your heart to Cocoa, now is the time. 📣 Please share this post and help Cocoa find her second chance. Let’s get Miss Cocoa HOME. 🐶❤️ If you are interested in adopting this pup, please fill out an application, using the link below. Please specify which dog you are interested in. Applications without a specific dog, or otherwise incomplete, will not be considered. Adoption fee is WAIVED!! Includes spay/neuter, current vaccines, and microchipping. https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ITAV/Dog For more pictures and information on this pup, please visit our website at https://www.ittakesavillage.dog/adopt
