Story
🐄 BESSIEBlack & white cattle dog mix | ~1 year oldBessie is the classic farm girl with a curious mind and a gentle soul. A black and white cattle dog mix with one full red heeler parent and one mini Aussie/chocolate lab mix parent, she’s built for movement, problem-solving, and loyalty.Bessie has spent her life outdoors, so the indoor world is still a bit of a novelty. Floors are weird, doors are suspicious, and couches may or may not be magical. That said, she’s incredibly sweet and already knows some basic commands. With patience, consistency, and a sense of humor, she’ll catch on quickly to potty training and house manners. She came from a farm where she did well with cats, chickens, and children, and she’s used to being around other dogs. Any potential canine siblings will need a meet and greet to make sure everyone’s comfortable.Bessie would thrive with an adopter who understands cattle dog mixes and their need for daily exercise, mental stimulation, and a job to do. While she can absolutely adjust to indoor life, she’d also do well with an active indoor/outdoor lifestyle, provided it’s safe, secure, and enriching.Bessie is sweet, thoughtful, and quietly loyal. Once she bonds with you, she’s the kind of dog who watches your every move like it matters… because to her, it does.

Story
🐄 FERDYBlack & white spotted | ~5–6 months oldFerdy is the baby of the bunch, and it shows. At just 5–6 months old, this black and white spotted cattle dog mix is still figuring out the big wide world and why everything is so exciting. He is 50% Red Heeler crossed with what is guessed to be a mini aussie mixed with a chocolate lab. Ferdy is young, sweet, and soaking everything in. He’s lived outdoors so far, so potty training and indoor routines will be part of his learning curve, but at his age, he’s a blank slate ready to learn. He already knows some basic commands and is just unsure enough to be endearing. He came from the same farm environment as his sisters and did well with cats, chickens, kids, and other dogs. As with all our dogs, meet and greets with potential dog siblings are required.Ferdy will need an adopter ready for puppy energy plus cattle dog brainpower. That means daily exercise, enrichment, training, and plenty of positive outlets so he doesn’t invent his own hobbies. He could adapt to indoor life or do well with a safe, active indoor/outdoor lifestyle. If you’re looking for a young dog who’s ready to grow into an incredible companion with the right guidance, Ferdy is ready to moo-ve right in.

🐄 CLARABELLEMostly black with white spotting | ~1 year oldClarabelle is the observant one. Mostly black with charming white accents, she has a calm, watchful presence and a heart that’s still learning how big the world really is.Clarabelle has lived her whole life outdoors, so house training will be part of her transition. She’s unsure of this new indoor chapter, but she’s incredibly gentle and eager to please. She knows some basic commands and is already showing how responsive she can be once she feels safe.Clarabelle came from a farm environment where she did well with cats, chickens, and kids, and she’s familiar with being around other dogs. Meet and greets with any resident dogs will be required to make sure it’s a good fit for everyone.Clarabelle needs an adopter who understands cattle dog mixes aren’t couch ornaments. She’ll need daily exercise, structure, and mental stimulation to truly shine. With the right routine, she could adapt beautifully to indoor living or an active indoor/outdoor setup with the proper setup. She’s the kind of dog who might start out quietly watching from the sidelines…then stick by your side like she’s always belonged there.

Story
Jeff was dropped off at our house this summer. Very good dog, fully trained (house trained, kennel trained, listens to commands, etc.). He looks really neat with the two colored eyes. We had him neutered, shots, etc. He had bad skin when dropped off but we cleared that up. Vet thinks he is about 1 year old. He is very good with our older dog and adults but gets too excited with kids. We have too many kids in our family and will be babysitting my nieces newborn come February. Super hard rehoming him, he is the sweetest dog, just not great around kids. We just want him to go to a good home, he deserves that!

Ellen has already proven her resilience—after overcoming mammary issues and healing beautifully from her spay, she’s ready to enjoy the good life with a loving family. What makes Ellen special Sweet & Loyal: Ellen loves to follow her people everywhere, always eager to be part of whatever you’re doing. Dog-Friendly: She gets along wonderfully with other dogs, making her a great fit for multi-pet households. Couch Potato or Shadow: Left alone, she’s happy to relax quietly, but she’ll also trail you from room to room to keep you in sight. Family-Friendly: Ellen loves everyone—including children—and greets new people with friendliness. Low Energy: Due to age, she’s calm and easygoing, with modest exercise needs. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Rambo — An Amazing Personality in a Handsome Package Age: 1 year, 1 month Location: Plymouth, IN Rambo is a joyful, big-hearted young dog with a truly wonderful personality. He’s goofy, loving, and instantly charming — the kind of dog who makes friends with adults almost immediately and wins hearts without even trying. He’s social with other dogs and does great in playgroups at doggy daycare. Rambo reads canine cues well, plays appropriately, and enjoys being part of the fun. A true ball dog and water lover, Rambo is always ready for playtime. He’s also learned how to entertain himself nicely — give him toys, a bone, or a chew, and he’ll happily focus on that, content to play on his own. Like many young dogs, he may chew toys that aren’t his if given the chance, so durable chews and hard toys are his favorites. Despite his playful energy, Rambo has a great off-switch. When it’s time to relax, he’s right there beside you — curled up on the couch, leaning in close, and soaking up all the cuddles. He’s truly a big cuddle bug. Rambo walks nicely on a leash, has excellent recall to his name, and is fully crate trained — he even runs to his crate at mealtime. He’s completed 8 weeks of basic puppy classes and continues building great manners through regular doggy daycare. Rambo is great with adults and has been selective with kids, so he’ll do best in a home that understands puppy boundaries and can provide calm, positive interactions. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate young dog with an amazing personality — one who can play hard, settle easily, and be your loyal sidekick — Rambo is ready for a fresh start in a forever home. Sweet, playful, and impossible not to love. Interested in Rambo? Contact cripecasey@gmail.com with any questions or complete an adoption application at www.comebyebcrescue.org. Application fee will be refunded if it’s determined by the foster parent that it’s not a good match and the application is not processed.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 5, 2026, 1:02 pm
