Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Ever so handsome Bruce!   Bruce is a 3yr old Cattle Dog who is looking for a couple to spoil him.  He walks on a leash fine and knows some simple commands, like sit.  He is crate trained and actually will choose to sleep in there regardless if it’s open or closed.  However he does get kennel territorial with other dogs that invade his space, including his spot on the couch or on a blanket on the ground.     Bruce is pretty talkative and he has a personality.   He loves to cuddle on the couch but will also play with toys.     Bruce is a big boy and does not miss a meal and needs to lose some weight to keep him healthy.    Bruce does excellent climbing stairs in your home.    He will also jump into a car and sit politely.   Bruce is well potty trained and scratches on the door or whines when he needs to go outside.   Like most cattle dogs they are clung to their owners and bonding with him will happen quick.     Bruce originally comes from Michigan City where his owner passed away.  He was given to someone whom had him for a year and then proceeded to dump him in a field. He was picked up and taken to the shelter.  He jumped right into the car and was very confused and looking for his people.   Bruce deserves stability and needs a cattle familiar owner.    He is learning how to play in his foster home with other dogs politely but we’re hoping to place him in a home where he is the only dog and gets all the attention he has been denied of. If you have questions about Bruce, please email   cripecasey@gmail.com  .  For additional information on Border Collies and our adoption process, please visit our website at www.comebyebcrescue.com.  If you have questions about Ruby.   ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 29, 2024, 6:46 am

He is house broken and crate trained, he does use our doggy door. He is working on putting on some weight after his last shelter stay. Toast is being fostered in Walkerton, INPlease contact hannahvazquez2002@gmail.com  if you have any questions about Toast.  You can complete an application to adopt Toast or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org .    ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 29, 2024, 6:46 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Introducing Jasmine! Roughly around 10-12 weeks old. She has the sweetest, personality and in her foster home she has been thrown with alot of new routines. She has learned how to climb stairs to her crate where she is fed. She absolutely loves her food and she will need a slow feed bowl. That being said she needs food as a reward to follow her human, to get to point A-B just because she hesitates on the new world. Jasmine is also learning crate training and will sleep and eat in them. She is currently being pottied trained and uses the crate often to accomplish this task. She loves toys and she loves to snuggle in your lap. Jasmine is said to be a Heeler mix. Heelers (cattle dogs) are high energy fur balls. So don’t be misled by their beautiful features. If you’re not prepared to keep this breed busy, look for another breed. Jasmine and her siblings were dumped on the side of the road, at a very young age. They come from Southern, Indiana. They are now being fostered in Plymouth, IN. If you have questions about Jasmine, please email   cripecasey@gmail.com  .  For additional information on Border Collies and our adoption process, please visit our website at www.comebyebcrescue.com.  If you have questions about Jasmine.   ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application.*** Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.February 29, 2024, 6:46 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Ruby She is a dark red Heeler mix.  Her and her siblings were dumped along the side of the road in Southern, Indiana.    Luckily they were rescued and taken to the animal shelter.  Ruby and her sister Jasmine found their way to Plymouth, IN. Where they are now being fostered.     Ruby’s foster mom says the girls were very Leary and fearful of her but are now coming around.  They follow her and are learning a routine.  Ruby and her sister are currently sleeping and eating in a crate.  They run from point A-B when they know food is involved.  Ruby will definitely need a slow feed bowl.   Ruby is the bolder pup.  She will adventure out and discover new environments and objects.  Jasmine tends to be more hesitant and will follow Ruby.     They love to play with toys and cuddle in your arms.  Ruby has a very unique look and people love that.  However heeler breeds are busy bodies so make sure you have time and patience for one.  They like exercise.  Ruby can already do stairs and is in the process of potty training.   Ruby is 10 to 12 weeks old and being fostered in Plymouth, IN  If you have questions about Ruby, please email   cripecasey@gmail.com  .

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Levi!Levi is an 11 month old neutered male Cattle Dog! Currently 28 lbs most likely will be closer to 40 lbs when fully grown. Levi is a very nervous boy. It takes a while for him to build up trust with a person. For the first 3 weeks I was unable to touch him but now he’s able to take cookies from my hand, allow me to pet him, and hang out on the couch with him! Now that’s he’s coming out of his shell he’s finally becoming a naughty baby puppy! I’ve been loving watching him steal shoes, throw toys in the air, and try to sneak snacks. Levi will do much better in a home with another dog. He likes to build relationships with other dogs which makes it easier for him to open up to people! He gets along with every dog he’s ever met! He’s your typical pushy baby Cattle Dog. He likes to push everyone’s buttons but is receptive to corrections from dogs and verbal redirecting from people! Once out of his shell he’s the sweetest boy. He likes to chase toys, play in the water, and wrestle with his friends! Levi had an injury to his rear left leg which has since healed but his hair is still growing back! Levi is searching for an active family who likes to go on walks, hike, and play in the yard! He does have a fence requirement as he has proven himself to be a fence jumper when scared. He will need to be supervised in the yard. He is looking for a patient family who will help him blossom. Levi was brought in with his litter from a backyard breeder in Western OH and is now being fostered in Plymouth, IN. Please contact cripecasey@gmail.com  if you have any questions about Jimmy.  You can complete an application to adopt Anderson or any of the dogs on our website at www.comebyebcrescue.org  .    ***  The potential adoptor will get a refund on the Application Fee if it’s determined by the Foster Parent that it’s not a good match for the dog and the dog for them, if we do not process their application. Story
Gabriel came to us from a rural shelter in the Carolinas. This young dog had been seriously injured after being hit by a car. The impact broke his leg and caused his eye to pop out. Although veterinarians were able to save his eye, he wasn’t able to see out of it, so it eventually had to be removed. He has recovered quickly from that procedure as well as surgery to fix his leg. Although Gabriel is only a couple years old, he totally acts like a puppy. He is extremely curious, energetic, and playful, but also loves to snuggle. He adores playing tug, thinks chew toys are fantastic, and has a blast with stuffed toys and his Jolly Ball. Gabriel is doing great with potty training and is working on leash and crate manners. He’s a quick learner and knows sit, kennel up, and hush. He is goofy and can be rowdy, but he totally wants to be a good boy. Gabriel is good with dogs that like to play as hard as he does. He needs a home with a fenced-in yard. He’d be fine as an only dog or would have fun with a well-matched dog pal. He’d love a family who might be interested in dog sports or other fun activities and who will spend time continuing to teach him how to be a great dog.  Gabriel wants to play and wants to be loved and cuddled. He certainly deserves it after his traumatic experiences. He’s being fostered in the St. Louis area. ##1864447##

Story
Echo is a fun and smart heeler puppy. He thinks all toys are absolutely fantastic and his favorite things to do are eat, play, and sleep! He has loads of energy and thinks everything is a fun adventure. Echo is deaf and is working on hand signals to communicate. He’s very tuned in and already knows “sit” and “come.” He’s very food-motivated and is eager to continue his training education. Echo is good in a crate and is working on potty training. He needs an active home where someone will spend time with him, taking him exploring and helping him learn all sorts of things. Echo would probably love a playful buddy, but he’d also be great as an only dog. This handsome, clever pup is being fostered in Bluffton, South Carolina. ##1961172##
