Meet Barney! Breed: Cattledog Mix Age: 4 years Weight: 53 lbsBarney’s journey hasn’t been the easiest—he came to us from another shelter and was unsure of shelter life. Given time and love, Barney has truly come out of his shell. Looking for an adventure buddy with a heart of gold? Say hello to Barney, a striking 4-year-old Cattledog mix with a love for life and a tail that never stops wagging! With his black and white speckled coat and expressive eyes, Barney is as handsome as he is fun.Barney is a high-energy guy who thrives on activity and the great outdoors. He’s happiest when he`s on the move—whether it’s long walks, bike rides, or just soaking up the sunshine in the yard. If you’re an active person looking for a dog to keep up with your lifestyle, Barney’s your guy! This 53-pound pup is also dog-friendly and he would absolutely blossom in a home with another playful dog—he`s gained so much confidence from his canine friends and would love a buddy to show him the ropes. His herding breed background means he’s smart, alert, and loves having a job to do—even if that job is just being your loyal sidekick.Barney would do best in a home that can match his energy and give him plenty of daily exercise and enrichment. Little ones make him nervous so please no young kids. In return, he’ll give you unconditional love, endless tail wags, and a loyal presence by your side.I have been going home with a staff member on the weekends and love playing with her dogs. The video is of me playing with my buddy, Rex. I would love to have another dog to play with.Ready for your next outdoor adventure with a new best friend? Barney is waiting to meet you!

AugieCattledog/Husky mix4 years old45 poundsI came to this shelter from another rescue, where I spent the last year of my life! Before that I was in another rescue since a little guy. I`m hopeful this is my last stop before finding my forever home. I have a sister, named Adele, who came with me as well. We do not need to be adopted together but another friend for me would be ideal. It would also help me to acclimate to a new home. I have the fluffiest and softest coat ever.I walk well on a leash.Cattle dogs are known for their loyalty to people. I won`t disappoint!

This 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog is playful, smart, and oh-so-loving—just waiting for his perfect person to share all the cuddles with.   Fostered in Argos, IN |  ~2 years old |  Australian Cattle Dog |  Housetrained Leroy is the total package—affectionate, fun, and incredibly loyal. He LOVES cuddling on the couch, snuggling into warm blankets fresh from the dryer, and rubbing his face on yours when he wants attention.  Squeaky ball fanatic  Completed obedience classes—smart and eager to please  Great in the car and enjoys short walks  Excellent house manners  Showing wonderful improvement on leash around distractions, including other dogs Leroy would do best as the only dog in his home or could live with a submissive female dog. While he’s sweet and friendly with people (just ask his vet team!), he’s happiest and most relaxed when he doesn’t have to share his space with more dominant dogs. He’d thrive in a calm, adult-only home—perfect for a single person or couple looking for a loyal, snuggly companion. If you’ve been waiting for that one special dog to be your best friend, Leroy is your guy!  ************************************************************************************************************************** Leroy – Your One and Only  (Intro Bio) Fostered in Argos, IN | ~2 years old | Medium-sized Australian Cattle Dog Leroy is the total package—affectionate, playful, and incredibly loyal. He LOVES cuddling up on the couch, snuggling into warm blankets fresh from the dryer, and rubbing his face on yours when he wants attention. He’s a squeaky ball fanatic and has completed obedience classes, proving he’s smart and eager to please. He enjoys short walks, rides well in the car, and has excellent house manners. But most importantly, Leroy needs to be the only dog in the home. While he’s a sweet, friendly guy with people (ask his vet team!), he’s happiest and most relaxed when he doesn’t have to share his space with other dogs.
