Story
Dutch Billy Boy came to us from a kill shelter in Kentucky  where he ended up by no fault of his own. This is a nice, friendly boy who is good with people & other dogs. He is very sweet, happy but would benefit from some basic obedience and confidence building because he does have times of anxiety. His approx. birth date is 10/10/18 and he currently weighs 22#. We are guessing at his breed make up. This guy will not be placed with children and he will need structure in his new home. UPDATE - I am in a foster home & house trained! He graduated from obedience class, but needs a very consistent owner who will follow through on daily routine. He has been vet. checked, neutered, micro chipped, is up to date on routine shots & wormings including rabies, and has been treated with flea & heart worm preventative per our protocol. He also tested heart worm negative. His adoption donation is $250 and needs to be cash, certified check, money order or a debit/credit card. There is a 3% processing fee when using a debit/credit card. We do not ship or transport. Please email for an application if you would like to provide this nice kid with his forever home. ##859533##

Story
Hi there! I'm Loikey and I am a whole year old! I am a sweet guy that is friendly towards every person I meet! I listen really well, and I already know some commands like "sit" and "paw." I was surrendered to the shelter because my humans had to move, and I couldn't go with them. I tell you this because rest assured, I am used to being in a home setting, and I have lived with both dogs and kids! My favorite toys are balls and ropes, and I really enjoy walks and going to sleep at night in a big bed! I hope you'll come out and adopt me, I would love to go into a home quickly!Give the shelter a call at (574) 267-3008 or email them at info@awlwarsaw.com if you have any questions about me! If not, stop by the shelter at 1048 S 325 E in Pierceton, IN 46562 to look at me! No appointments necessary!

Hi, I'm Abby and they say I am very smart. I really want to find my forever home.I have been here awhile and I have an old injury and I would love to be in a comfortable environment away from these hard floors. Here are my thoughts. Please, no other pets or children, I want to be your one and only, so we can have lots of fun together.I prefer a fenced yard to play in. I love to learn, so you will need to continue my training and I promise to make you proud. I am a bit of a mix of cattle dog and Aussie, so breed experience would be a benefit to understanding me. Please come meet me soon!DOB 8/8/20 44 poundsI'm waiting for a home to call my own. email webmaster@petrefuge.com to learn more about me or fill out an application at https://www.petrefuge.com/adoptPet Refuge was formed in 1978 to help with cats and dogs in need of homes. Not good with kids, Needs experienced adopter,
Story
We adopted Lucy last March from a domestic violence situation. We worked hard with a trainer to rehabilitate her. However, the trainer feels Lucy needs to be in a home with no children or other dogs. We have a 3 year old that Lucy growls at, and she is clearly uncomfortable around small children. We are devastated as we love Lucy very much, but my youngest is not safe around her. Lucy is smart, sweet, cuddly, loving, and full of personality. She just has some baggage from her previous home. I would also like to add that she is uncharacteristically calm for an Aussie, but gets nervous around new people. She is about 4 years old and up to date on all her shots, heartworm prevention, etc.. Lucy needs a calm, structured home with an experienced dog owner and no children. If you are interested and have questions, please be in touch.
