Story
Hey there… I’m looking for a home all to myself 💙🐾I’m a 6-year-old Blue Tick Heeler mix, weighing in at about 46 pounds of loyalty, love, and personality. I’m past all that wild puppy stage and have settled into being a well-mannered, easygoing companion—but I still enjoy getting outside and stretching my legs when I can!One of my favorite things in the world? Kids! I do great with children and would love a family where I can be part of the fun, soak up attention, and be your loyal sidekick. Now, I like to be honest—I prefer to be the only dog in the home. I just enjoy having my space and all the love to myself. Because of that, I’ll need a home where I can be your one and only furry friend. I’m not sure how I feel about cats yet, so that would be something to figure out together. The good news is, I come with great house manners! I’m both house trained and crate trained, so I already know how to be a respectful member of the household.I’m also in great health—I’m heartworm negative, up to date on all my shots, and ready to head home with you. My adoption fee is NO CHARGE, and a big thank you to Lyon County for helping make that possible. What I’m really looking for is a family to call my own… a place where I can feel safe, loved, and included. In return, I’ll give you my whole heart, my loyalty, and a lifetime of companionship.Could I be your one-and-only? 🐶💙Dogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Our system automatically updates adoptable websites every two hours. Feel free to email or call us with any questions you may have. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.

🚨🐾 Hi, I’m Cora, and I’m here to take over your house... in the best way possible. 🐾🚨I’m a 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix, which means I’m smart, energetic, and convinced that whatever you’re doing is definitely my business.I’m great with other dogs and kids, so I’m basically everyone’s favorite coworker. Cats, however, and I have agreed to live separate lives and avoid all future interactions.I’m house-trained and used to being both an indoor and outdoor girl. I also know sit, stay, lay down, and here. That means I’m not just pretty—I’m a certified genius. Now, I do have one small quirk: I like to chase cars. In my defense, someone has to make sure they’re following the rules. When you bring me home, you’ll get:🐶 A loyal best friend🚗 A self-appointed traffic monitor🎾 A professional toy inspector💙 Unlimited love and laughsIf you’re looking for a hilarious, intelligent, and affectionate sidekick who will keep life exciting and your heart full, come meet me! Belly rubs are strongly encouraged.Dogs are $115 and puppies are $110 unless otherwise noted. All cats and kittens are $75.00 unless otherwise noted. Story
We have welcomed 'Quinn' to the Heart in Hand Family! We believe he is a Border Collie/Heeler Mix, about 4 years old. In such a short time, he has shown us what a little gentlemen he is! Seems friendly with everyone, submissive with other dogs, as he just wants to play! Seems ok around cats - he ignores them for the most part - unless they hiss and run then its 'tag your it' haha! He also seems good around other farm animals - doesn't pay attention to chickens or goats! He only wants to play with his doggies friends and be with a person. We need to work on leash training and basic commands which we started yesterday! He is very bright and has already started to get the gist of what we are asking from him! Just a wonderful lil' spirit! We just know he is going make such a wonderful addition to his new family! Quinn is UTD on vacinations, microchipped and neutered! https://www.heartinhandcrittersrescue.com If you are interested in meeting this sweet boy, please fill out our online adoption application: https://form.jotform.com/83004164874153
