Story
Meet Sookie, a 2-year-old adoptable Cattle Dog mix with a heart as big as her beautiful smile! Full of youthful energy and Aussie smarts, Sookie is looking for an active home that loves adventure as much as she does. Whether it’s hiking, playing fetch, or just exploring the neighborhood, she’s always ready to join in the fun. Sookie gets along wonderfully with dogs and cats, making her a great fit for multi-pet households. She’s also house-trained and crate-trained, so she’s already got excellent manners. After a day of activity, this sweet girl turns into a total cuddlebug—she adores snuggling up with her humans and soaking up all the love she can get. If you’re searching for a smart, affectionate, outdoorsy companion, Sookie might just be your perfect match. This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed or neutered. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)   To adopt or learn more about this dog, you must complete an adoption application, which can be found on our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   PLEASE READ:     •    If a dog or puppy is listed, they are currently available for adoption. However, they may already be pending an adoption, and their profile may not yet reflect this.     •    All information is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the posting date.     •    Unless explicitly stated, Sandy Paws Rescue does not guarantee the breed of any dog. Breeds listed are educated guesses made by shelter staff, volunteers, or veterinarians. Many of our dogs are mixed breeds, often with pit bull-type genetics, resulting in a wide variety of physical traits and temperaments.   Our dogs come from various situations, such as kill shelters, owner surrenders, or as strays. It is likely both parents were mixed breeds as well.   Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.   For information on adoption fees, procedures, or FAQs, visit our website: www.sandypawsrescue.com.   The FIRST step in adopting from Sandy Paws Rescue is to submit a completed adoption application.   ##2559445##

Story
Step aside Disney couples we have the most incredible duo available for adoption. Meet Bonnie and Clyde. A devoted pair who emerged from a wooded area on a Disney movie lot. The chef had begun preparing food for the crew and Bonnie and Clyde decided to join in on the fun. We have heartwarming footage of the crew befriending the dogs and providing them with food ultimately earning their trust and ensuring their safety. The shelter alerted us to this extraordinary bonded pair who are not only sweet but also incredibly loving. It's clear they were dumped but we are determined to find them a forever home where they will be cherished. Bonnie is a four-year-old red heeler who is fully vetted and spayed. Bonnie is deeply reliant on Clyde. Clyde who we believe is a Patterdale Terrier mix. Clyde is fully vetted and neutered. Both dogs are remarkably friendly with other dogs and children, although we are unsure about their compatibility with cats. Our rescue is committed to keeping this inseparable pair together as Bonnie is deeply attached to Clyde. If you are interested in adopting or fostering this amazing couple please don't hesitate to reach out. We provide our fosters with everything needed from food and toys to bedding and kennels. All we require is that you fill out our application for state rescue purposes. Rest assured if the adoption doesn't work out both dogs will return to our rescue ensuring their continued care and wellbeing. Bonnie is good with other dogs, and seems good around kids that come into the boarding facility.( NOT cat tested ) Bonnie can be a bit shy when first getting to know you but she is loving, and sweet.

Story
Alistair is one of those rare, tender-hearted pups who wants nothing more than to be near his person. He will quietly sit beside you, follow you from room to room, and patiently wait for your eyes to meet his—because to him, love is everything. He’s playful with other dogs, enjoys their company, but he clearly prefers humans. He is absolutely a Velcro dog—the type who bonds deeply and loyally with his person. 💙 What makes Alistair special: Sweet, gentle, and soft-natured Patient and trusting Loves human affection Playful but never overwhelming Dappled front legs and big expressive eyes Wants to love and be loved—simple as that 🩺 Medical Note: Little Alistair currently has a small histiocytoma on his face—basically a benign skin bump that many young dogs get. He is being treated appropriately, but because it bothers him, he wears a cone so he can’t scratch it. Most histiocytomas disappear on their own with time and care, but he needs an adopter willing to help him through the healing process. Alistair is looking for a forever home that will love him just as he is—cone and all—and help him finish healing. In return, you’ll have a loyal shadow, a gentle companion, and a puppy who looks at you with complete trust and adoration.
