Story
Meet Dipsy Dipsy is a 4-year-old Heeler mix (his exact age will be confirmed at the vet) weighing in at 60 pounds of pure sweetness. He’s been living the indoor/outdoor life, so as he transitions to being a full-time house dog, he’ll need frequent potty breaks while he learns the routine. With a little patience and consistency, he’ll catch on just fine. This boy is all about love. Scratches? Yes. Cuddles? Absolutely. Extra affection for no reason at all? His favorite kind. Dipsy truly thrives on human connection and is happiest when he’s close to his people, soaking up every bit of attention you’re willing to give. Dipsy seems to do well with other dogs, though a meet and greet is required to be sure it’s a good fit. He has lived around cats before, but a slow, thoughtful introduction would be best to set everyone up for success. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who just wants to be loved and included, Dipsy is ready to be your new best friend. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. The shelter will contact individuals as they appear on the list. The adoption fee is $95 and you receive certificates for $50 towards spay/neuter and $10 towards rabies vaccine if not already done. All dogs are heartworm tested, receive a DHLPP, flea and tick treatment, and are dewormed.

Story
Hi… I’m Georgie - Lap size perfection! I might be a little quiet at first, but once I know you’re my person, I’m all heart. I’m a 1-year-old Heeler mix, weighing in at 39 pounds, which I hear is the just right size for walking, cuddling, and fitting perfectly into your life. I’ve been an indoor/outdoor guy, so I’m still learning the ropes of being a full-time house dog. That just means I’ll need frequent potty breaks while I figure things out, and I promise I’ll try my very best. I can be a little shy when we first meet, but don’t let that fool you. Underneath that gentle hesitation is the sweetest boy you’ll ever know. I love long walks, taking in all the sights and smells, and when we get home? That’s when I cash in on lots and lots of belly rubs. Consider that part non-negotiable. I seem to do well with other dogs, though I’d love a meet and greet to make sure we’re all friends. I’ve also lived with cats before, so I’m familiar with sharing space with the mysterious whiskered roommates. If you’re looking for a tender-hearted, gentle soul who just wants patience, kindness, and a whole lot of love, I might be your Georgie. I’m ready when you are. If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list. Story
Hi. It’s me. Boogey. Yes, that Boogey. The one with the good looks, busy feet, and a heart that runs on treats and praise. I’m a 2-year-old male Heeler mix, which means I’m smart, sporty, and occasionally convinced I’m in charge of neighborhood patrol. I’ve done the indoor/outdoor life, so as I level up to full-time house dog, I’ll need frequent potty breaks while I learn the new routine. I promise I’m trying. Please clap when I succeed. I’m the perfect blend of sweet and active. I love my walks, I love moving my legs, and I especially love snow. If there’s snow on the ground, I will personally inspect every single flake for quality control. ❄️ Other dogs? I’m pretty sure they’re cool, but I’d like a proper meet & greet first so we can sniff, assess, and decide if we’re going to be besties or just polite coworkers. I’ve lived around cats too, but I’ll need a slow introduction because tiny roommates deserve respect… and also because I get curious. If you’re looking for a dog who can keep up on adventures, cuddle after, and make your life just a little more entertaining, congratulations. You found me. Love, Boogey If interested, please call the shelter at 231-861-5395 and leave a message to be placed on this dog's adoption list. No obligation, but it reserves your place in line on the list.
