Story
Hello, my name is Cherry! I recently came to Prairie Paws as a stray with my friends, Clifford and Copper. We were all running around together outside and were thankfully saved before we got hurt. The staff are still getting to know me right now. So far, they think I am a good-looking lady who will make someone a fine canine companion someday soon. If you need a red-headed gal in your life, bring me home today!

Story
Adoption Fee by donationJax is 3 years old. He's a very handsome fella who loves to play with other dogs and LIVES for fetch.  He is potty and kennel trained and does well going in the car too! He is a very friendly, happy boy.  He lived with older kiddos and has done okay with his fosters too! As long as they are old enough to be respectful of his boundaries he could absolutely live with kids.     Jax loves attention. He would benefit from a country home so he can play fetch anytime he can talk you into it! He does have some barrier reactivity so leash walks in a neighborhood or an unfriendly dog on the other side of the fence would be dealbreakers for him.      To apply to foster or adopt Jax visit k911foundation.com/adopt       May 12, 2024, 7:42 pm

Meet Sage! This 4 year old Mountain Cur mix is the total package - good with people, dogs and cats! She is a shy girl but will open up and blossom once she settles in. She is definitley her best self with another dog in her home! Her current foster family cannot say enough good things about Sage: she is very affectionate, gets along with their dogs, a good walker on leash, ignores the cat, does not resouce guard her food, and enjoys car rides. Wow! Sage is a great pup. She is currenlty in a foster home and waiting to meet you!

Story
Meet Giblet! Gibby is a slow, sweet older man who is undergoing heartworm treatment and would desperately love to find a foster or furever home. Giblet loves to snuggle and go for walks, but he does struggle with stairs since he is an old man. He would love a bed to sleep next to his people all night long! He prefers dogs like him that are older and won't get too up in his business. Please consider giving this older gentleman a home, he has been waiting so patiently!

Story
Murphy is 6 years old. He’s kind of a grumpy old man. He is a matched pair with Charlie, also a French bulldog/Australian cattle dog mix, who is 5. They have lived their whole lives together. We moved about 4 years ago and it’s been a struggle since. They have not adjusted to a subdivision well. They really need some fenced land to roam - if you have animals you need to herd, even better. They do fine around our kids, but not their friends. Well, Charlie will love anyone, but Murphy is more of a stinker. They need to be the only dogs (which is another issue at our house). They are food motivated and respond well to their name. Loves bones (for aggressive chewers) and would be outside all day if he could. He is a barker and will alert you of danger, both real and perceived. Prefers women to men. Wants to be the alpha but has no clue that he isn’t. Responds well to the air spray “pet correctors.” Crate and house trained. Up to date on vaccines.
