Howdy turned one years old November 7th. I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old. He is very sweet, cuddly, and more on the timid side. He does enjoy playing with other dogs when he’s comfortable. I think he would do best with a fenced yard. He rarely barks.

KID TEST: (Okay with Kids) Dexter tends to jump when he is excited and might do best with older kids until further training. HOUSE BROKEN: (Potty Trained) Dexter seems to be potty trained. My goal is to be your lifelong companion and I should learn quickly with praise, treats and little patience. I`d really love for us to get enrolled in training classes, after all school is the best way to get us both educated on what it takes to raise a puppy! My Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Confidence College. This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - New people and environments make me a little nervous. Let’s take things slow!- Once I warm up, I`ve been described as a high energy, goofy and social girl! - I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information. My home needs are: - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - Wayside recommends that I have a fenced-in yard so I have a secure area to release my energy. - For my safety, I need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.
