Story
We acquired Zena in January 2025 from some friends after Zena wandered onto their farming property outside Fresno, California. After several weeks when her owners could not be located, we were asked to take her as we had another German Shepherd rescue. We took her to our Vet and they believed she was under a year old when we got her. She had one heat cycle in June 2025, and then was spayed in August 2025. Currently we believe she’s about 1 1/2 - 2 years old. The two dogs got along great for the first 5-6 months , but then Zena no longer liked our other shepherd and started being aggressive towards him. Zena is very smart, has a big personality and alert all the time. She is great around kids and gives great hugs and kisses. She is house and crate trained, knows some commands and is working on polite leash walking. She is reactive to some other dogs so a proper introduction would be good. She loves to run and go on hikes so an active family or person would work very well with her!

Story
Anubis is a wise soul. He is social, calm and laid-back pup who loves lounging around. His favorite games are chase and fetch and he loves a teddy bear with a squeaker. This guy is chill even on a walk but does get a bit queasy on car rides with lots of curves. Anubis has been crated when left alone and did fine. His prior owner had a change in circumstances and wanted to share that Anubis is a sweet and caring pup who never barks or growls and loves to run free in a back yard and the dog park. This guy is a lover who can't wait to meet his new family. Stop and see him today.

Story
Frankie is a 25 lb pup who has spent most of her young life waiting for a chance. She came into the shelter with her mom and siblings and watched as each of them was adopted, one by one—until she was the only one left behind. Despite that start, Frankie has remained a sweet, loving, and resilient girl who is ready to finally find her place in the world.Frankie can be a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and forms strong bonds with her people. Once she feels comfortable, her playful and affectionate personality really shines. She loves to snuggle on the couch, thrives on praise, and is eager to please. She is an active, fun-loving pup who enjoys playing fetch, chasing a flirt pole, and especially playing with water—she’ll happily chase and jump at a hose stream for as long as you let her. Frankie absolutely loves other dogs, particularly larger, confident dogs, and benefits from having a canine companion to help guide her.Frankie has been doing very well with training and is an exceptional listener. She already knows sit, down, come, and leave it, and is currently working on “place,” where she can settle for several minutes at a time. She is both food and praise motivated, making her a joy to continue training with. She is crate trained, eating her meals and sleeping comfortably in her crate.Frankie would thrive in a home that can provide structure, consistency, and continued guidance. An active household with a yard, older children, and another confident dog would be an ideal fit for her.Frankie is ready to leave her past behind and grow into the incredible companion she’s meant to be. With the right home, she will reward her people with loyalty, love, and endless joy. Before adoption, all Boxers and Buddies dogs are spayed/neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped. All dogs are fostered in a foster home where they are treated like family - practicing socialization skills. We require professional obedience training from a certified trainer for ALL adoptions. Story
Raven – 3 yr old Blue Heeler Mix (Medium) Raven is a sweet, sensitive boy who will be 3 in August. He’s very loving once he feels safe and enjoys playing fetch and being close to his people. He can be nervous around new people and unfamiliar dogs and will need a patient home to help him build confidence. He does great with kids and bonds deeply with those he trusts. He also gets along very well with his sister, Ruby, a 5-year-old red heeler—they play together and are very comfortable with each other. This is a difficult rehoming due to moving into a small RV and not having the space or time he needs to stay active and socialized. Raven would do best in a calm home with room to run and a kind family willing to help him feel secure.

Story
Ruby – 5 yr old Red Heeler Mix (Medium) Ruby is a sweet, easygoing girl who loves to relax and lounge more than anything. She’s 5 years old and has a calm, gentle personality that makes her a wonderful companion. She’s great with kids and people and enjoys being part of the family. Ruby can get a little nervous around other dogs, but she is very comfortable with her brother Raven, a younger blue heeler mix, and they spend a lot of time together. This is a difficult rehoming due to moving into a small RV, and Ruby deserves more space to feel comfortable and at ease. She would do best in a calm, loving home where she can enjoy a peaceful life and plenty of room to relax. She does have a thyroid issue that she takes a low dose of medication for.

Story
This is Max, a Rottweiler and Australian Shepherd mix with the most loyal heart and playful spirit. Max a truly good boy who loves camping trips, long hikes, and a great game of tug of war. Due to an unexpected life change, I’m no longer able to give him the time and attention he deserves. This has been the toughest decision. My hope is to find Max a loving, active home where he can continue to explore, play, and be the amazing companion he is. 🐾
