Story
Ninja (who is far from a ninja) is a sweet senior whose owner passed away and she and her bonded sibling were turned in to animal control. Her sibling got adopted and she was listed for euthanasia, so we pulled her and brought her to our sanctuary. She is a gentle girl, thrives on the companionship of other dogs, and just wants a place to live out her remaining years. She is a gentle soul who would do best with other animals in the home. If you are interested in Ninja, please fill out an application at www.tahoewarf.org and call 775-846-3773 or 775-338-6631.April 29, 2024, 8:47 pm

Story
Sweet and calm older dog. Loves to have a person to follow around and sleeps a lot. Favorite things are belly rubs, treats and walks. Doesn’t bark unless someone knocks on door/there is a visitor and will bark at them until she gives them sniffs (seems to bark at men in hats more than others). She has separation anxiety and can’t be left alone in a house but is kennel trained and can be left in kennel alone for up to four hours. Waits in cars patiently for up to an hour. Sometimes has belly issues and needs to eat grass if seen licking carpet. Doesn’t play, don’t rough house with her but likes a squeaky ball/toy. Needs to eat from slow bowl and do not hand feed any treats (gets too excited and may bite finger). Does well with other dogs as long as they don’t try to play with her. She does not play or rough house. Don’t let children put face in hers. Does well with older children who would just pet her but doesn’t like to be played rough with
