Story
Hi, my name is Doug. I was adopted from APA as a very young puppy and returned as an adult through no fault of my own. I was shy and scared when I first got back, so I went to our PAWS prison training program to learn new things and get more socialized. I graduated in March 2025, but I am still a work in progress. I didn't have a lot of socialization outside of my one home as a young pup, so the trainers and staff are helping me still come out of my shell. I am a sweet boy who just wants a chance at a great home.

Ellie (born around August of 2022) is a red and white heeler/Jack Russell mix who came to the sanctuary after being bounced around three different homes within a few weeks` time. She is extremely affectionate and friendly with all the humans she meets and wants nothing more than human companionship at all times. She is a very active little lady who will need lots of both physical and mental activities to keep her boundless energy and high intelligence occupied. Story
Bandit (born around April of 2021) is an Australian Cattle Dog who was reported as a stray for a few weeks in the community. After he was hit by a car, resulting in a broken and dislocated rear leg, he received specialized surgery to repair the injury and completed his months-long recovery at our sanctuary. Bandit is an affectionate, friendly, and social guy who loves everyone he has ever met. As a working/herding dog breed, Bandit will require a routine that includes adequate mental and physical stimulation on a daily basis. He is hoping for an active forever family who enjoys his affection and boisterous energy and will be patient as he learns the ropes of living in a home.
