Story
Harley is about six months old and she is very loving. She is a sweet dog with lots of energy. She needs a loving owner who can give her the attention she is craving. We have very young children and travel often for work. She really is a great dog, but she really needs a new home quickly that is a better fit for her.

Story
This bio was written by Lady`s foster mom: When we first set Lady loose in our fenced-in yard, she bounded around with joy! I’ve never seen a dog bounce like a kangaroo before!Obedience: Lady seems to know some basic commands. I did have her “sit” and “wait” while I prepared and put down her food, and eat only after I said “OK!” We also discouraged her from jumping on us or sitting on the furniture, and she had pretty much stopped those behaviors by the end of her stay. Consistency is key.Housetraining: Lady seemed housetrained–she peed and pooped only outside, never in the house. Occasionally, she seemed a little hyper and whined a bit; we took that as a sign she needed to go outside to do her business.Behavior: In her four days at our house, Lady never got into anything she wasn’t supposed to (including garbage, dishwasher, and smelly dish rags). She generally doesn’t beg (although she will hang out in the kitchen while you’re cooking, and come close / look very interested if you happen to be eating a steak). Our dog toys didn’t seem to interest her, but she likes chasing flying insects. She doesn’t dig. Being out of eye contact in the yard and house (for periods) seems ok, but she will often return for reassurance. She can be high-energy–she adored going on walks and patrolling the yard, but she also likes to relax.Eating: Although I mixed wet food with her dry food the first night and the following morning, she ate hardly any. Next day, I put a third of a cup of warm water and mixed dry and wet food together really well. Lady ate every bit and licked the bowl. She also likes eating grass.Doorways: Doors provoke a funny reaction: her person generally has to step through first before Lady will follow. When inside the house, she likes to walk right beside you like a soldier in formation.Walks: Walking on a leash, Lady tends to run left and right in front of you like a dowsing rod until she gets her jiggles out. She doesn’t pull unless she sees a squirrel or a rabbit. She does have a high prey drive.Crating: Lady willingly and quietly goes into the crate, especially if a treat is involved. She loves soft treats. She spent nights in the crate and stayed there while we were out. She sometimes barked for short periods, but barked very little in general.
