Oreo is a staff favorite. She is a very loving social dog. She loves long walks and having her belly rubbed.  Her ideal day is laying out in the sun and getting treats. She does get along with other dogs as long as there is a proper introduction. Oreo is often overlooked because she is an older dog. She would make a great companion or family pet. She is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Oreo can be transported any where in the United States and Canada. ##1499371##

Story
Welcome Astrid to CCPAL Rescue. She is a 2.5-year-old Cattle Dog and Lab mix maybe. She was adopted as a puppy and returned as an adult. She is now a bit of a timid adult. She is potty trained and good in a crate. We think she may not have stayed home a lot as a puppy and didn’t get the interactions with other people that they need as a puppy. She is timid of new people but she is a nice dog. She is not over the top active and would be fine with a moderately active family. I think her best home is as an only dog where it is quiet and she can get all the attention. She would be great with a person that has a quieter home and is more of a stay home kind of person and doesn’t care that their dog also wants to be a home body. She would be best with someone that doesn’t want a social butterfly but just seeks companionship. She would be fine around children. I would say older like 10 or more. A retired single or couple would be her ideal pick if she could talk. She is healthy, vaccinated and spayed and ready for her forever home. She can be adopted locally in Texas where she is with the rescue. We can also use one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 300 and transport is 180. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Story
Welcome Cosmo to CCPAL Rescue. Cosmo is an Aussie/Beagle is our best guess. He is about 8 pounds now and should be medium sized full grown. We think 25-30 full grown. He is very sweet, has good eye contact and has a soft coat and down ears. He is active and the group is vocal but not over the top. A person that does not work all day every day for 5 days a week is the best for a puppy. Someone that can work from home some or has partial days or some days off to spend to help your new puppy acclimate is best. You need time to be with your puppy to socialize them and to finish off their puppy training. Cosmo was very easy to handle taking his photos and he wasn’t afraid of new people and liked being held. He sat on the table with confidence while we worked with him. He is getting daily attention and holding at the Rescue. He is getting his DHPP vaccinations and dewormed. He is good in his play group. He is kenneled in the evening and is learning to go potty on a wee pad. He is currently at the CCPAL Rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. His adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states. Story
This sweet girl was pulled from a high kill shelter with her sister right before the cold weather hit. The facility reached out to us and we couldn't say no. A cold kennel was no place for a 7 lb puppy. The girls are so sweet and affectionate, they love toys and love to snuggle. Aspen loves her belly rubbed while she lies in your lap. She is also a very active little girl and would make a great companion for that active person. But she promises to be a couch potato as needed too. Aspen can be a bit shy with new people, but she is very loyal and gentle. If interested in meeting Aspen please email us.

Story
I’m seeking to rehome these sweet 3 yr old siblings due to a recent serious medical diagnosis. They’re hoping to find a loving, stable home where they can stay together and continue to thrive. Luke and Leia were found as stray puppies dumped on a farm three years ago and we adopted them directly from their rescuers. They’ve since grown up in a loving home, have been socialized, and have enjoyed life with a fur sibling (who is also searching for a home). They are both sweet, playful dogs, though they can be a bit skittish with unfamiliar things at first. Luke is especially sensitive to rain and storms but does well with a ThunderShirt. Luke is more mellow, affectionate, and people-loving, while Leia is a little spunky and may take a few days to warm up to people—but her personality really shines once she does! Both dogs ride well in the car, are crate trained, dog door trained, and electronic collar trained. They also completed a doggie training camp. They do come with supplies.
