Story
Everything about Esty Bestie can be best described as absolute perfection. She is an incredibly sweet and loving girl who wants to be everyone’s best friend! She absolutely adores everyone she meets and melts into you any chance she gets. Esty has a heart of gold and radiates happiness and joy wherever she goes. You can't help but smile when you're around her, especially when she looks up at you with those gorgeous big brown puppy-dog eyes and her sweet, innocent grin. Watch her video and fall in love with her personality: https://youtu.be/mhVPWKQ1bV0?si=IuxM26VXixx6PgDv Esty Bestie is believed to be a Cattle dog/pittie mix approximately 2 years old and currently weighs 52 lbs. She is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Esty is such an incredibly sweet and loving girl who wants to be everyone’s bestie! She absolutely loves everyone she meets and melts into you any chance she can get. She has a heart of gold and she is always beaming with happiness and smiles. She is a hoot and her tail never stops wagging. She would make a great family dog and has been around kids as young as 5 years old. Etsy was not phased by the running, jumping, screaming, or even when the little girl started doing cartwheels. She took treats gently from her and also let her put silly pom poms on her head. One thing that was also really impressive was the way that Etsy listened to the little girl and to us especially when a whole bowl of popcorn was spilled on the floor. She waited patiently while they cleaned everything up and then was so grateful once she got rewarded with all the popcorn. Etsy will fill your life with laughter and smiles. She loves to LOVE and she has so much to give. Though Etsy is such a love bug, she can be a little shy at first with new people and in new environments, especially once she arrives in her new home. It does not take long for her to open up and within minutes, she’s giving you all the kisses and snuggling so close to you. Esty is dog friendly and has been around a variety of different dogs all with different personalities and temperaments. She is not the playful type with other dogs and is more of a relaxed hangout type of girly that prefers to get attention from people. She is happy to be around dogs that have the same cool, calm, collected tempo as her. She does play everynow and then the cutest little play bows and loves to zoom around with her new friend in light hearted games of chase. In a home, she would do best with a medium energy male dog that enjoys the company of other dogs, isn't looking for a 24/7 playmate, and will enjoy an occasional game of chase here and there. She'll be perfect for that! Esty also does not need another dog in the home, so no worries there if you don't have a dog. She is so loving and affectionate that she has enough love to give that is equivalent to 3 dogs combined. She's something special! Esty would also do best in a home with no cats as she was a little too interested in our house cat Biggie. When it comes to training, Esty is ready and eager to learn! She loves treats and already knows a few basic commands such as sit, and down. You could probably even teach her how to dance too LOL. Esty is fairly easy to walk on a leash and only pulls every so often. Mainly, she'll pull towards something that smells yummy or interesting. She responds well to correction and wants to make you happy! Esty has wonderful house manners and is crate and potty trained. She will thrive with a semi-active family that enjoys frequent outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, going to the beach or even casual play time in the yard. A family or individual who appreciates nature and is ready to explore parks, trails, or snowy landscapes would be perfect. While she loves the great outdoors and loves to explore, Esty is also an affectionate gal at home and loves to bury her head into you for love. If you enjoy the outdoors but also cherish time spent relaxing indoors, Esty is the perfect fit. She has the potential to thrive in an apartment with proper exercise and socialization. Etsy would also do great in a home with a backyard as well, a place where she can stretch her legs, check out all of her favorite sniff spots, and roll around in the grass and sunbathe during those beautiful summer days. She has the potential to thrive in so many different environments. Etsy Bestie is simply THAT girl! We are willing to test Esty Bestie with anything you need in order to ensure it's a perfect match. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Hercules is a 3-year-old boy with a lot of love to give. He can be timid when meeting new people but warms up quickly through play. Hercules loves to play fetch and bounces around in the yard with his favorite toys. He enjoys car rides and has previously lived with other dogs. Hercules is working on confidence building as he can easily be unsure in new situations. For now, he would do best in a home with older teenagers and no young children.

Story
Perfectly petite, with a love for squeaky toys and a silly, goofy side that is guaranteed to make you smile daily… this is Bailey. In addition to a smile, two other things you can count on every day: a squeaky toy serenade and full-body cuddles. The sweet simplicity of this girl is just too good. Go watch Bailey Bee on YouTube, then come right back to see why this petite sweetheart might be exactly what your home is missing. https://youtu.be/VcvdujhAXXU Bailey is estimated to be around 1.5 years old and weighs 34 lbs. She appears to be a cattle dog mix, but as always with rescue, breed and age are our best guess. What we do know for sure is that she’s full of personality… equal parts loving companion and playful goof, with just the tiniest interest in being the manager of movement (aka, herding). She has been around kids ranging from 5–15 and will happily join in a fun running session, gently herding along the way but without the typical nipping often seen in cattle dogs. In her foster home, Bailey has proven herself to be a very affectionate, people-loving girl with wonderful house manners. She forms strong bonds and enjoys being close to her humans, but she’s also shown that she can handle a little independence too. She may check in on her people (or casually keep tabs from across the yard), but she doesn’t fall apart when she’s on her own. Think “loyal sidekick” energy, not clingy shadow. That said, she does enjoy companionship, both from her people and other dogs. Her foster shared that she may feel a bit lonely if she were frequently home alone without another dog, so while she doesn’t need a canine companion, she would likely enjoy one with the right match. She’s currently living with an older small dog who isn’t quite as interested in her play invitations, but she remains respectful and adaptable. Let’s talk about her social style with other dogs, because Bailey has opinions… polite ones. She does best with low to medium energy dogs who respect her space and allow her time to warm up. If another dog comes in too strong, she keeps it fair and clear with a “that’s enough, thank you.” And once things settle? You’ll start to see her playful side peek out… sometimes even joining in a game of chase, preferably as the one doing the chasing. With people, Bailey is all heart. She’s been around children and has done wonderfully, showing off her affectionate, easygoing nature with a side of sneaky kisses. Because of her herding instincts, a home with younger kiddos may just need a little awareness and guidance, but overall she is warm, social, and very loving. She walks nicely on leash without much pulling, settles well in her space, and her foster describes her as a quieter dog overall… making her a possible fit for apartment living as long as she gets her daily dose of connection and play. Now, one note on cats… Bailey has shown strong interest in chasing a cat outdoors, so while we wouldn’t rule it out entirely, she would need slow, thoughtful introductions and further testing in a home environment. For now, a cat-free home may be the easiest path forward, but we’re always happy to set up a little “Kitty Committee Slumber Party” to learn more about her in a home setting. At the end of the day, Bailey is one of those dogs who brings both personality and heart. She’ll make you laugh with her squeaky-toy serenades, then turn right around and remind you she’s just a soft, affectionate girl who wants to be loved. If you’re looking for a loyal, slightly silly, very lovable companion who will keep you company and make you smile… Bailey is ready and waiting. Apply to adopt Bailey and welcome her home! Questions? Story
Negan is the kind of dog you don’t forget. He is a stunning blue heeler mix with a beautiful coat. He turns heads everywhere he goes. Negan is smart, loyal, and deeply connected to his people. He does wonderfully on leash, is both crate trained and house-trained, and thrives when he has structure and clear expectations. A couple of years ago, Negan made the long journey north after being surrendered in South Carolina, arriving here in search of a fresh start. He found a loving home and where he was well cared for. But they wanted a better life for Negan, somewhere he can have room to run and daily enrichment. They made the incredibly difficult and selfless decision to give him another chance at finding the perfect fit. Negan has energy to spare and will need a home where he has plenty of room to roam, explore, and stay mentally and physically engaged. Whether it’s long walks, outdoor time, or enrichment activities, Negan is happiest when he has a job to do and space to be himself. Because of his strong personality, Negan is protective over his space and belongings and appreciates having his boundaries respected. He’s looking for an experienced home with older kids (or adults only) who understand and honor his need for personal space. At his core, Negan is a good dog who’s still waiting for the right person. Someone who sees his beauty, understands his needs, and is ready to meet him where he is. If you’re looking for a loyal companion with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Negan might just be your perfect match!
