Story
**A generous donor has paid Dallas's adoption fee.** Looking for a best friend who’s equal parts athlete and snugglebug? Meet Dallas – a high-energy goofball who’s always ready for a game of fetch, a good rope toy battle, or a high-speed chase with his doggy pals. Dallas is a social butterfly who thrives in the company of other high-energy dogs and absolutely lives for agility training and playtime classes. He’s the star student who brings the zoomies and the charm to every session—and yes, he will try to win over the trainer with cuddles. He struts with purpose (especially if there’s a squirrel nearby 👀). Wildlife, you’ve been warned. But when it’s time to wind down? Dallas transforms into a world-class cuddler. If he’s lying down, he will find someone—human or dog—to snuggle up with. Personal space? Never heard of it. Tennis balls are his love language. Rope toys are his jam. And long walks make his tail wag nonstop. A home with a playful pup buddy is his dream (just no cats—he’s a bit too enthusiastic for feline friends). If you’re looking for a fun-loving, smart, snuggly sidekick who’ll keep you active, entertained, and loved every single day, Dallas might just be your perfect match. 💚 Adopters have 30 days of free access to 1-on-1 text and email support from trainers at Petcademy to help make every pet's transition into their new home as smooth as possible. All dogs available for adoption have been spayed/neutered, microchipped and are current on all vaccinations. Please email dogs@henricohumane.org for more information.

Story
PICKETT Pickett was born in 2015. He is about 45 pounds, mostly black. He is a mystery mix. LOVES EVERYONE! He gets along with all people - he's a hugger and kisser Loves other dogs - moderately playful. He does try to hump the first time meeting, but is easily corrected. Loves cats. Great on the leash. And in the car. He's not young, but has tons of puppy like energy. LOVES toys and bones. Good house manners. HOWEVER, when unsupervised he should be crated or he may chew inappropriately. He was with a rescue for the last seven years and was never chosen somehow - despite his super friendly adorable personality. That rescue closed, he went to a local shelter, and knowing him personally, I had to bring him here HE DESERVES A WONDERFUL HOME. He's a hoot! Story
Leo is an incredibly loyal Australian Cattle Dog mix looking for an active home! Adopted as a puppy in 2017, he's up-to-date on vaccinations and in good health. Our upcoming move with small children means we can no longer meet his needs. Leo excels off-leash—staying close and checking in regularly. On trails, he scouts ahead before returning to make sure you're following. He comes immediately when called and is a true "velcro dog" who loves affection. Leo is good with other dogs and children (note: he has a herding dog's natural nipping instinct) and is fully house-trained. His favorite activity is playing with his blue ball, which he'll chase for hours! He would thrive with someone active who can give him the exercise, companionship, and love he deserves.
