Story
Laynee is a pint sized little lady who is looking for her furever family! She can be nervous of new people at first but with some time and patience she warms up and is SO loving. She would do best in a quiet home that doesn't have a lot of visitors as most cattle dogs can be weary of strangers especially unannounced ones their property. She would be most comfortable with older children who respect and understand a dog's boundaries. She enjoys swimming in the river and being loved by her people. She LOVES to ride in the car and would make a great adventurous hiking partner!! Laynee LOVES to chase balls and is full of energy so don't let that white face fool you she is only 4 years old! She is crate trained and house trained but could use a little work walking on leash. She is spayed, microchipped and up to date on her vaccines. Interested in adopting? GG is a lovely 2-year-old Aussie Cattle Dog/ Heeler mix. She has the heart of a mom who came to us with two pups! A sweet, sweet girl, weighing 29 lbs., she's energetic, outgoing, and quite loving! We think she's great! (posted 1/21/25, ME) Adoption Fee: $395.00-- covers microchip, worming, all vaccines, monthly heart worm preventative, monthly tick/flea preventative, spaying/neutering, health certificate, and complete medical records. Transport Fee: $160.00-- We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs. **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. **March 12, 2025, 12:55 pm

Story
Introducing Muffin: The Sweetest Treat You’ll Ever Meet! Muffin is a *petite* 2 year old heeler mix, at only 24 lbs, Muffin is the perfect size for cuddles, and trust us, this girl is a certified LOVE Muffin™. She adores belly rubs, thrives on affection, and will be your most devoted shadow. True to her breed, Muffin is agile, athletic, and can probably clear a four-foot fence. If you need a farmhand, a hiking buddy, or just an adventure partner, Muffin is your girl! As with most heelers, Muffin likes to keep things in line—which means a home without small kids "to herd" is probably best. Older kids would be fine. Cats are not a good mix for her either. She’s great with other dogs and would be totally fine with a playful pup friend to romp with. Toys? Loves them. Balls? Obsessed. Treats? Yes please! She’s eager to learn and even more eager to please. Muffin was dumped down a dead end dirt road with her puppies. All three were trapped and rescued from starving to death or being harmed by predators. It is now Muffin's turn for a happily ever after. If you’re ready to add a little extra love (and a whole lot of fun) to your life, apply to adopt Muffin today! +++++ Ready to adopt? Start by filling out our online application at www.bit.ly/mu-adopt. Once submitted, we’ll review it and reach out to approved applicants by phone. We may also suggest other amazing dogs in our care who could be a great fit for your home. NOTE: Please complete the application through the link above. Inquiries alone are not enough. Location & Transport: This dog is currently in South Mississippi and local adopters are welcome. For out-of-town adopters, we offer virtual meet-and-greets and can arrange transport ($300 adoption fee includes transport) to many states in the Northeast (excluding Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island). Story
Our big orange ball comes complete with it's 7 year old Aussie mix named Reece. Reecie is a very happy go lucky girl who is housebroken, vaccinated, heartworm negative, and addicted to fetching her big orange ball. She will play for hours and hours with it (or any ball). Reece does have a rear limp which our veterinarian has diagnosed as a dislocated hip - the result of an old injury - which is now healed and best left alone now. It does NOT slow her down or impair her mobility in any way. You would not be sorry - this girl is really special. If you would like to offer her a forever home, please submit an application which you can find on our website (www.almostheaven-golden-retriever-rescue.org)
