Meet Lady! Lady is a 2-year-old Kelpie/Bloodhound mix with a huge heart and a wicked-smart brain. She came from Dallas and has been thriving in her foster home ever since. Lady is deeply affectionate and bonds quickly, but she’s a little shy at first — especially around hands — and appreciates someone who lets her set the pace early on. Once she trusts you, she’s loyal, loving, and all-in. As a true working-breed mix, Lady is sharp, eager to learn, and loves having a “job.” If it moves, she’ll try to herd it, so she does best with adults and either as an only dog or with dogs who won’t mind her instincts. She absolutely shines with consistent direction, structure, and clear boundaries. Lady’s superpowers: Wicked smart + quick learner Treat-motivated and thrives with positive reinforcement Nose that never quits — she loves scent work and mental games Bonds deeply once she feels safe Lady is also working through a few things: she can be leash reactive, she has some resource-guarding tendencies, and she’s still learning to trust hands. The good news? She responds incredibly well to training and consistency. Her foster family, along with guidance from a trainer, has already given her a strong foundation — especially with her crate, which she now sees as her safe, cozy spot. Lady’s dream home: Adults only A yard for zoomies Someone steady, patient, and consistent An adopter excited to continue training (she loves it and learns fast!) Story
I rescued Falkor (the name I gave him) in February 2025 from my local shelter. Upon rescuing him, the shelter did not know much about him aside from the fact he came from a garage. He seems to may have been abused in his past based on his mannerisms. He is a little scared of men but once he gets to know you is a total lover. He is very sweet and fully trained. Falkor has been on planes, trains, and automobiles. He does great on hikes and does not require a leash but when on one, does great. He is very food motivated and would probably love to continue learning new tricks. I unfortunately have started a full time job keeping me away from him. I want him to go to an active home where he will get plenty of love and adventures.
