Story

LITTLE LEGS, BIG FUTURE! Meet Lizzie, a 1-year-old, 26-lb Kelpie mix with adorable eyebrows, a gentle little soul, and legs that are approximately shorter than the average shoe size. Lizzie was picked up by animal control in the middle of nowhere (rural NM), with no safe place to call home. We don’t know how she ended up out there, but we do know we want the next chapters of her life to look completely different. She is quiet, dainty, polite, and incredibly sweet. Lizzie does well with other dogs and actually seems more comfortable and confident when she has canine friends around. She rides nicely in the car with other dogs and would likely love having a friendly dog in her future home to show her the ropes and remind her that the world isn’t such a scary place. She’s still learning confidence on leash, so she needs someone willing to give her a little patience while she figures out this whole “being a cherished family dog” thing. At only 26 pounds, Lizzie is the perfect little medium-sized best friend. Big enough for adventures, small enough to fit just about anywhere, and equipped with four hilariously compact legs to carry her wherever life takes her. Lizzie doesn’t need much; a safe home, kind people (and maybe a dog friend), a cozy bed. And the promise that she’ll never have to find herself alone in the middle of nowhere again. Even though Lizzie’s past may be a mystery, her future doesn’t have to be! Those tiny legs are ready to carry her straight into the good life! Please complete an application to meet Lizzie today! Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##2867718##

Story

Cheddar is a protector and a lover dog! She loves kids and people. She is going to be 3 in December. She is energetic and loyal. I do think she would thrive as the only pet in the house. I ended up having some life changes and moving and I am no longer able to have pets. I want her to go to a home where she is loved and can run and play!

Needs experienced adopter,

Story

ake is looking for his forever home! Jake is a playful, energetic boy who loves having fun, but he also enjoys slowing down for some cuddles and attention. He has plenty of personality and is ready to find someone who understands him and can give him the right home. Jake can get along with other dogs, but he is a little particular about who he chooses as a friend. A meet-and-greet with any potential canine siblings would be important. One thing potential adopters need to know about Jake is that he does not like having his feet touched.Jake does have a bite history involving an incident where someone attempted to handle his feet. Because of this, his boundaries need to be understood and respected, and his adopter should be comfortable managing this behavior appropriately. Jake isn't looking for just any home—he's looking for the right home with someone willing to understand his quirks, respect his boundaries, and give him the love and structure he needs. If you think you could be Jake's person, reach out to the Rangely Animal Shelter to learn more and meet him!
