Meet Aura Left at a Police Station as a Tiny Puppy—Now Ready to Find the Loving Family She Deserves ❤️ Breed: Australian Kelpie / Carolina Dog Mix Gender: Female | DOB: 2/24/2026 | Weight/Expected Size: 26 lbs • Expected Medium-Large Good With: Dogs ✔️ | Cats: Unknown | Kids ✔️ Medical: ❓ Spay Status Unknown | ✔️ Current for Age Vaccinations | ✔️ Microchipped Location: Los Angeles, California Transportation: Ozzie and Friends Rescue provides safe transportation to approved adopters throughout the United States. ❤️ Personality, Breed Information & Aura's Story Aura's journey began with uncertainty, but also with hope. She and her littermates were left outside a local police station when they were just young puppies. Thankfully, they were found quickly and brought to safety before they had to face life on their own. Although someone chose not to keep them, Aura now has the opportunity to find the loving forever family every puppy deserves. Today, Aura is a happy, beautiful, and playful puppy whose tail is almost always wagging. She has a cheerful personality and enjoys making friends with everyone she meets. She loves spending time with people, playing with other dogs, and exploring the world around her with curiosity and excitement. One of Aura's favorite things is water. Whether she's splashing in a kiddie pool, enjoying bath time, or playing with the hose on a warm day, she happily embraces every opportunity to get wet. Her playful spirit and affectionate nature make her a wonderful companion for an active family looking for a puppy to grow up alongside. As an Australian Kelpie / Carolina Dog Mix, Aura is expected to grow into an intelligent, loyal, and athletic companion. Australian Kelpies are known for their eagerness to learn, trainability, and devotion, while Carolina Dogs are admired for their adaptability, awareness, and strong family bonds. Together, these breeds create a dog that thrives with regular exercise, positive training, and plenty of time spent with the people she loves. Aura would thrive in a home that offers: Daily walks and outdoor adventures Plenty of playtime and interactive activities Positive reinforcement training Puzzle toys and mental enrichment Continued socialization with people and other dogs A consistent daily routine A lifetime of love, patience, and commitment Aura has already been given a second chance. Now she's looking for the family who will help her grow into the amazing dog she's meant to be. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like all puppies, Aura is still learning about the world around her. Her new family should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, teething, learning house manners, and discovering new experiences every day. Aura is intelligent, eager to learn, and enjoys being with people, making this the perfect age to begin building good habits through positive reinforcement training. Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 Days to decompress and begin feeling safe 3 Weeks to learn your household routine 3 Months to fully settle into family life Aura will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training House-training and consistent routines Daily exercise and supervised play Continued socialization with people and other dogs Mental stimulation through enrichment toys and games Plenty of patience, encouragement, and affection With love, guidance, and consistency, Aura will grow into a confident, loyal, and devoted family companion. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Bringing home a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes proper veterinary care, training, exercise, and companionship. As part of responsible pet ownership, Aura will need: Completion of her puppy vaccination schedule and routine wellness examinations Spaying if it has not already been completed, following your veterinarian's recommendation Monthly flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite prevention A nutritious diet that supports healthy growth and development Daily physical exercise and mental enrichment Continued obedience training and socialization A safe, loving indoor home where she is treated as a cherished member of the family Because Aura is still growing, strenuous repetitive exercise and excessive jumping should be limited until her joints have fully developed. We also recommend scheduling a wellness visit with your veterinarian shortly after adoption to establish care and ensure she continues to thrive. Adoption Information If you are interested in adopting Aura, please complete an adoption application by visiting: https://www.ozzieandfriendsrescue.org/adoptions Thank you for considering adoption through Ozzie and Friends Rescue, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to giving dogs a second chance at a loving home. Meet Lumi ☀️ Male DOB: 2/23/2026  Weight: 24 pounds Breed: Australian Kelpie / Carolina Dog Mix Neutered (Fixed): Pending (Age-Appropriate) Vaccines: Current for Age (Puppy Vaccine Series Ongoing) Microchipped Healthy & Adoption-Ready Personality, Breed Info & Expectations Lumi's story began with a second chance. At just a few months old, he was found wandering the streets alone, searching for food, water, and somewhere safe to sleep. With no family to protect him and no one coming to claim him, this young puppy was left to survive on his own. Thankfully, kind rescuers brought him to Ozzie and Friends Rescue, where he finally experienced a full belly, a warm bed, and the love every puppy deserves. What's truly remarkable about Lumi is that his difficult beginning never stole his joyful spirit. From the day he arrived, his tail has never stopped wagging. He greets every person like an old friend and approaches life with excitement, curiosity, and endless optimism. Lumi is a playful, affectionate puppy who absolutely loves making new friends—both human and canine. He has a silly, adventurous personality and is always ready for the next game of fetch. Toss a ball, and you'll have his full attention! When he's not chasing toys, you'll probably find him splashing in the water. Whether it's a kiddie pool, a lake, or simply bath time, Lumi thinks getting wet is one of life's greatest adventures. As an Australian Kelpie / Carolina Dog Mix, Lumi is expected to grow into an intelligent, athletic, and deeply loyal companion. Australian Kelpies are known for their exceptional intelligence, eagerness to learn, and love of having a job to do, while Carolina Dogs are admired for their adaptability, curiosity, and strong bonds with their families. Together, these breeds create a dog that thrives with an active lifestyle, positive training, and plenty of mental stimulation. Lumi would thrive in a home prepared for: Daily walks, exercise, and outdoor adventures Games of fetch and interactive play Swimming or water play whenever possible Positive reinforcement training Puzzle toys and activities that challenge his mind Continued socialization with people and other dogs Structure, consistency, and routine A lifetime of love, patience, and commitment Lumi has already proven how resilient he is. Now he's simply waiting for the family who will show him that he'll never have to face the world alone again. Training, Adjustment & What to Expect Like all puppies, Lumi is still learning about the world around him. His adopter should expect normal puppy behaviors such as chewing, teething, occasional accidents, and testing boundaries as he grows. Because Lumi comes from two highly intelligent and active breeds, early training and continued enrichment will be especially important. He learns quickly and enjoys engaging with people, making him an excellent candidate for obedience training, hiking adventures, scent games, and interactive activities that keep both his body and mind busy. Lumi will benefit from: Positive reinforcement training House-training and a consistent daily routine Daily exercise and supervised play Continued socialization with people, dogs, and new environments Mental enrichment through puzzle toys, scent games, and training Patience, consistency, and encouragement Please remember the 3-3-3 Rule: 3 days to decompress 3 weeks to learn your routine 3 months to fully feel at home With love, guidance, and patience, Lumi will grow into an incredible companion who will reward his family with unwavering loyalty and endless affection. Owner Responsibilities & Veterinary Care Bringing home a puppy is a lifelong commitment that includes training, exercise, companionship, and routine veterinary care. Lumi will need: Completion of his puppy vaccine schedule and routine wellness examinations Neutering when age-appropriate if not already completed Preventative flea, tick, heartworm, and parasite protection Proper nutrition to support healthy growth Daily physical exercise and mental enrichment Continued obedience training and socialization A safe, stable indoor living environment Because Lumi is still growing, strenuous repetitive exercise and excessive jumping should be limited until his joints have fully developed. His family should work closely with their veterinarian to ensure he receives the proper nutrition and preventative care needed throughout puppyhood. Lumi is an indoor family dog and is not to be chained or left outside. Story
Molly is a sweet, gentle dog who just turned two years old. She has a very calm temperament and adapts quickly to new environments. She loves children and enjoys playing with other dogs. We are looking for a loving new home for Molly because we will be moving out of the country and, unfortunately, we have no way to take her with us. Our greatest hope is that she finds a family who will love and care for her as much as we do. Molly has been diagnosed with primary epilepsy and is currently doing well on treatment. We will be happy to share more information about her medication and care routine with her future family. Thank you for your interest in Molly. We truly believe you’ll fall in love with her and won’t regret giving her a forever home.

Story
Jasper, born April 25, 2022, is such a good boy. He loves being outside, hiking, camping, paddleboarding or just relaxing inside. He doesnt do great with cats, but that might be something someone could work on with him. He is extremely intelligent, knowing more than 20 different commands. He is great with kids but would need lots of room to run, or live with an active person. He was trained when he was born to herd cattle, though he has not worked since I got him a few years ago.
