Georgey (or in Spanish, Gorge) is an 11-month-old pup that weighs approximately 32 lbs. While we do not know who his parents are, we believe he is Australian kelpie mixed with lab or catahoula. Either way, he is definitely adorable and very petite. We do think he is full grown as he has not grown since we got him. He has been in foster care since March 2025 - He was born on a ranch in south Texas, where a stray dog had puppies at. Only Gorge and his brother, Johnny, were surrendered though. We don’t know what happened to the other puppies or the parents. This awesome boy absolutely loves other dogs; big and small. He is currently being fostered in a sanctuary in south Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border. This amazing sanctuary is only a short term stop for this fur-baby until their forever home is found. Gorge is a goofy boy – he is always willing to try something first and would be considered the “class clown” of the group. He is a pleaser and loves being accepted by the other dogs. He is more submissive than most. Gorge loves his toys and playing around the yard. There is nothing he does not like doing. He is all around a very relaxed and easy going boy that would fit almost all types of households. He loves being around his people and will follow you around, trying to please you too. Gorge gets a little jealous when other dogs are out playing and he is in kennel. He will make very sad whimpering sounds in hopes to get let out, and usually it works! Gorge loves his toys so much that he decides it’s much better to have 20 pieces of one toy than just one toy! Tough toys are definitely a must for young Gorgey. He has met kitties and he has no issues with them! He would live very happy with other dogs and kitties in the home. Gorge is so friendly that he loves kids, strangers and really, any human! Gorge would love a home that has another dog or dogs, where he can play, have a kiddo pool full of water to lay in and go on walks around the neighborhood to explore and see new things. He would be truly great for most types of households. This animal is fixed (spayed/neutered), heart worm positive (they have received the 30-day course of antibiotics and need to stay on heart worm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heart worm prevention, microchipped, current on de-wormer, and will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport. Our old, perfect, classy lady Daisy. Daisy is a 7-year-old mix who weighs approximately 40 lbs and is the sweetest girl. You wouldn’t know she was 7 years old, as she is a puppy by heart. With Daisy you get a cuddling, loving older dog demeanor with the playfulness and happiness of a puppy. And almost no training necessary! Daisy is house and crate trained. Daisy gets along great with other dogs and would do wonderful in a home with another dog to keep her company. She absolutely loves people and is the first one to greet anyone that is coming through the door or gate. Daisy was found roaming the streets of south Texas by Mexico; She was super skinny and you could just see the defeated look in her face. Thankfully, a good Samaritan saw her and couldn’t just turn away from her. She has been in the care of a sanctuary for 6 months now. She is a very relaxed dog. She just wants to lay out in the sun, play a little bit, relax and just hang out. Daisy would do great in a home that is a bit more relaxed and wants a dog that is very casual but VERY loving. She does great on car rides! Her favorite thing to eat are hot dogs. The foster says one of her favorite things about Daisy is that she doesn’t destroy toys, so all toys survive around Daisy, SO FAR. She is around 1 year old and full of potential. Molly was found abandoned at a church, where a kind neighbor stepped in to give her a flea bath and make sure she was fed. When she came into rescue, she was in heat and was spayed right away. She does great with structure and routine. Molly sleeps inside a kennel overnight with no accidents, uses a dog door confidently, and is kenneled next to another dog. While they may bark at each other at times, there is no aggression. Because of her youthful energy and Australian Kelpie breed traits. This breed is known for being absolutely a brilliant, high-energy dogs were bred for herding in the rugged Australian outback - and it shows!* Kelpie Highlights: Super Smart - Quick learners and love a challenge. High Energy - Always ready to go, go, go! Great for an active family. Molly would do best in a home with older children. She walks nicely on leash and actually seems calmer when leashed. Meet Buddy! 🐾❤️ Buddy is a 2-year-old, 47-pound Shepherd/Canaan/Kelpie mix who has spent his entire life waiting for someone to finally call him theirs Buddy has been at a sanctuary in South Texas, along the Texas/Mexico border, since he was a tiny puppy. He arrived at just 8 weeks old with his siblings, Cowboy, Roxy, and Oso. And sadly, the reason Buddy is still waiting isn't because there is anything wrong with him. It's because the humans who promised to help him failed him. About 22 months ago, a rescue asked the sanctuary to take Buddy and his three siblings into care, promising to financially support them and take them on the next transport. Then the rescue delayed. And delayed. And delayed. They never provided a dime toward their care before ultimately disappearing completely when the puppies were about five months old. Then another rescue stepped in and tagged Buddy and his siblings. Everyone thought their luck had finally changed. But just six weeks later, that rescue ghosted them too. The sanctuary begged for help. Nobody stepped up. And through absolutely no fault of their own, Buddy and his siblings grew up in a sanctuary instead of growing up in forever homes. Buddy could have been home with his family almost two years ago. Two rescues took that opportunity away from him. Now, we're stepping in to help make sure Buddy and his siblings finally get the futures they deserve. And Buddy is ready. ❤️ Meet Buddy 🐻 Buddy is a laid-back, incredibly sweet, food-motivated boy who loves his people and enjoys the simple things in life. He's calm and relaxed most of the time, especially when he's hanging out with his favorite humans. But let him out into a yard and you'll see another side of Buddy—he'll run, explore, and break out into the most adorable zoomies! 😂 He loves exploring, loves treats, and loves being around people. And Buddy is convinced that he is a lap dog. Tessie is a one-year-old Blue Heeler with a big heart packed into a petite 20-lb body. Like many Heelers, she forms a deep bond with her person and loves being close — she’s the ultimate little “Velcro dog.” Her favorite things include outdoor adventures, chew toys, exploring the yard, and then settling in for a cozy couch nap with her favorite human. Tessie is incredibly smart and will quickly learn a new routine, but she’ll do best with a patient adopter who will give her a little time and space to settle into her new home. Once she trusts you, her loyalty is unmatched. She also takes her job as yard supervisor very seriously and has the cutest little sassy strut when she’s feeling happy.
