Story
Purchased Finn from an independent person, dog had a litter unplanned. He was 6 months when we adopted him. He is full of energy, loves to play and give kisses. He has been raised with two others dogs and a cat. He is gentle with other animals and gets along well with them. He is totally potty trained, no issues at all with that. He has been around kids and can be good with them. His biggest issue is he is very stranger shy and it takes him a long time to get used to people. Once you are part of the pack, then you are good, but until then he is very defensive and barks. You can break through his defenses quickly by simply offering him a treat. He also really gravitates toward his person and can be come pretty protective of that person. He has been known to nip at people to protect his person. With some time and training I am sure this could be quickly corrected. He is smart and very loving, he will give you all the kisses and hugs you want! A big lap dog for sure.

Joy is an 11 year old sweet and relaxed mini Aussie. She walks on a leash without pulling, enjoys being outside and is relaxed in the home. She was born in Hatch New Mexico. Her disposition is quiet and content. We walk for about 1 hour a day and she is not bothered by other dogs/ people passing by. Joy deserves more than I can give her. Working full time and taking care of elderly parents.

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.adoption fee $450.00  Cooper is a young Aussie Terrier mix with a bright mind and a big heart. He’s making great progress with potty training, does well in his crate, and loves playing with the pets in his foster home. He’s currently learning his leash manners and, like many herding breeds, has plenty of energy to spare—so a fenced yard will be best for him. We think Cooper has the potential to really shine in agility or other active training activities! Before adopting, we always encourage families to research the breed to make sure the energy level, temperament, and lifestyle needs are a good match. Cooper is an amazing pup who will thrive with an active family ready to help him reach his full potential. New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary.  The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue. He will go home with a collar, leash, and vaccination record.
