Story
Look no further than Loki. This boy will melt your heart with his beautiful brown eyes. Loki was surrendered by his owners, through no fault of his own, and is looking for a family that will shower him with attention and give him the home he deserves. At 3 years old and an Australian Kelpie mix, Loki is fully grown and weighing in at around 43 lbs., making him the perfect medium sized companion.Loki is looking for a family that will put the time and effort into providing daily exercise, a variety of adventurous activities, and a commitment to continued training. With a little structure, this loving boy will thrive. He has been doing great on a leash and loves to play. He is already leash trained and ready to join his family on regular walks in the neighborhood or along a walking trial or anything in between. He is currently learning the art of fetch and cannot wait to show off his skills to his new family.Loki gets along well with all canine friends as well as kids, however his relationship with cats is unknown at this time. Along with his great leash skills, he has added house and crate training to his accomplishments. He aims to please and will always put his best paw forward in the learning process. Although Loki is housetrained, it is important to remember that accidents can occur while adjusting to a new home environment. With lots of love still to give, Loki is ready for a second chance at a forever family. Do not look past this amazing pup.* When considering adoption, keep in mind that dogs thrive on structure and routine. They adjust much better when their owners are committed to providing consistency and stability. The adoption fee for Loki is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.May 12, 2026, 8:07 am

Story
Meet Ariel, a brave and beautiful soul who embodies the best of both worlds: an adventurous spirit with a gentle, loving heart. Ariel is around 1 year old or older, we’re not sure of age, weighing around 30lbs. We believe she may be a Kelpie mix. She is a curious and playful pup, always ready to explore and discover new things, yet she is also dignified and quiet, with a loyal and protective nature. Ariel is an independent thinker, but don't let that fool you - she is a social butterfly who loves nothing more than to be by your side, offering gentle affection and a listening ear. With her athletic build, she is always up for a game or a walk, but she is just as happy curling up for some quiet time. Ariel is a smart cookie, too, always eager to learn and please. She is a true friend, a brave companion, and a loyal confidante, offering a gentle nudge and a listening ear. This wonderful girl is ready to find her forever family and fill your home with love, laughter, and gentle adventures. Could that be with you? Ariel is spayed, fully vetted and microchipped. Our pups come with one month of free pet insurance when you adopt. If you’re interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website at https://packleadersrescue.com/adoption-application/

Story
Here is a dog you won’t have to “figure out,” she is practically a cliche version of good dog. Easy company, fun-loving, adventure ready, and the perfect amount of personality to keep things light hearted and fun. She settles in, reads the room, and melts into the rhythm without asking for much in return. Go watch Lola the Low-Key Adventure Buddy on YouTube, then come back and picture what life with her would actually feel like… because she’s great in a highlight reel but she is aiming for real-life everyday ease. https://youtu.be/4Z7sIlz_OcA Lola is about 3 years old, 47 lbs, and likely a kelpie/cattle dog mix- rescue rules in full effect, of course- no guarantees on breed or birthday. She’s currently living in a foster home where things are calm, steady, and shared… with a 12-year-old boy and even a cat she free roams with. No micromanaging, no constant supervision, her foster says she just understands how to be a house dog. Her foster describes her as “incredibly easy,” and it shows in all the ways that matter. Lola moves comfortably between activity and rest… happy to join you for a walk, a dog park outing, or a little backyard squirrel surveillance, then just as content to come inside and settle near her people. She doesn’t need constant entertainment or create chaos when things slow down. She’s affectionate without being over the top, present without being demanding… the kind of dog who lays nearby while you go about your day, checking in quietly without a fuss. With other dogs, she leans toward coexistence over play. She can share space easily, especially with a calm dogs who are not looking to wrestle or push boundaries. She’s clear about her space when she needs to be, and then goes right back to minding her business. It’s honest, appropriate communication… fair and effective. Lola feels like the kind of dog who fits into real life. School mornings, work days, evenings on the couch, weekend outings. Nothing complicated, nothing overwhelming… just a good dog who knows how to be part of a home. If that sounds like your kind of pace, Lola is ready and waiting for her best adventure yet! https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/69eb842a1757f7a7bf01ade8 Questions?
