Story
Good things come in small packages so open your heart and home to Peanut, a sweet young Australian Shepherd mix with a heartbreaking story prior to being rescued.Abandoned for unknown reasons when his owners moved, Peanut thankfully was found and taken first to a local shelter before being selected to come to Dogstar. He is a one-and-a-half-year-old, handsome little boy of 23 pounds, with high spirits and a nose for play and for doggie treats. Provide Peanut with canine companions and children to play with and he will be over the moon with joy. It is not known if Peanut enjoys spending time with cats. Peanut is working on his house and crate training and is already leash trained so he can go on the walks he loves so well. Delighting Peanut with treats for learning his manners will ease his path to becoming a wonderful house companion. Establishing a bathroom routine after meals, exercise and naps will help him complete his house training. If crate training is planned, Peanut needs a crate that is big enough for him to stand and turn around in as well as lie down comfortably. Crates should be cozy, happy places for dogs to hang out. It will forever remain a mystery how anyone could leave this beautiful boy behind but the family that adopts Peanut will fall in love and be rewarded with a loyal and loving furry best friend who will never want to leave your side. The adoption fee for Peanut is $500. That includes the cost of spaying/neutering, up to date vaccinations, foster care, rescue and transportation fees. To get the ball rolling, head over to our Adoption Application and submit your application today. A Dog Star representative will contact you within 24 hours. To speed up the process, contact your vet and give them permission to speak with us.If you do not get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder.March 5, 2024, 5:57 am
