(DOB 07/11/2022) Lex is a joyful, energetic Australian Kelpie mix with a heart as big as his smile! Lex is a social butterfly who adores being around people, kids, and other dogs. Whether he’s playing with a canine buddy, going for a hike, cruising in the car, or strolling through the neighborhood, Lex is all about fun—and he brings it with him everywhere he goes. Lex is house trained and free roams in a gated area in his foster home. Lex would thrive in a home with a fenced yard and another dog to keep him company. If he’s flying solo as the only dog, he’ll need a family that prioritizes spending time with him and meeting his physical and mental needs. He’d be the perfect companion for someone who works from home and enjoys spending time outdoors. When you call that a wrap, Lex is super loveable and will be happy to hang with you on the sofa to chill for a while. He is very affectionate and will give you a sweet kiss whenever you need it!! Plus, Lex is a great size; on the smaller side of medium; just a great mix of not too big and not too small...just right!  With his happy energy, loyal nature, and love for adventure, Lex is ready to be the heart of his forever home. As part of Lex's $300 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Story
Bodie was a stray in our neighborhood for about 3 months. I fed him, but he wouldn't come close enough to pet. Once trapped he had to go WCAC for a few days until a rescue/foster could get him. Things kinda got mixed up and I had to pick him up in order to save from euthanasia. He has done great with alerting me to go potty. He is amazing with me...but not anyone else if I'm around. My husband has cancer and we don't have the time to give him the correct training he needs. Like I said he is a great dog with me! Doesn't like to be caged at night, but I think anxiety meds may help until he gets trained. They said he is about 1 1/2 years old. Weighed about 31lbs when I got him.
