Jack Black is a sweet, easygoing boy with a calm personality and a gentle presence. He gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids 1,3,5 is what he has met! making him a great fit for many types of families. He is kennel trained and comfortable in his space, though he’s a bit clever and may try to escape, so a sturdy, heavy-duty kennel is recommended. Jack Black walks nicely on leash, is not food aggressive, and has very good manners overall. He enjoys playing with toys when the mood strikes and is perfectly content entertaining himself. Story
This on-point pupper is Taz who recently completed our STAR Inmate Training Program where he learned basic obedience commands! He is approximately 2 years old and weighs 46 lbs. We think he is an Australian Kelpie/maybe some Chow mix, and was living on a chain because he was a danger to the neighborhood cats. So, no cats or small critters around this boy!  Other than that, Taz is fantastic! He’s dog friendly, loves everyone he meets, and is so happy to be off of that chain and living life as a real dog should! He loves to please and really bonds with his person. Taz is so ready for his forever family! If you think your family might be the one, please visit Father our website at carerescueok.org for our application!   ##2098808##

Story
My name is Shaboozey and I am looking for my forever family. You see I had an owner who I thought was a really nice person , but then she brought me down here to the shelter and just left me in the lobby all alone ! I was really scared but thankfully the amazing people here took me in instantly and have been taking care of me ever since. Even though I was abandoned I sure do love all the different people I meet here ! I am always up for kisses and cuddles. I keep to myself quite a bit and seem to get along well with the other dogs here at the shelter , but my favorite part of the day is for sure when the people take me outside to play ! I am a really good boy at walking on the leash. November 30, 2025, 2:46 pm

Story
Bert is a fun, energetic guy who’s ready for adventure. He is dog friendly and does well with other dogs, though he can be a bit overbearing with small dogs, so he’d do best with medium to large dog companions or dogs that can handle his enthusiasm. He is kid friendly with children 10+, as he does best when kids can understand and respect his boundaries. Bert is housebroken, kennel trained, and not food aggressive. He’s very food motivated, which makes him eager to learn and a great candidate for continued training. Bert loves to run, play, and engage with toys, and he’d make an excellent travel buddy for an active person or family who enjoys getting out and about. Overall, Bert is a happy, playful dog who will thrive in an active home that can match his energy and give him structure, fun, and plenty of time to explore.

Story
Seth is a smart, energetic boy with a lot of potential. He is dog and cat friendly and has been around children as young as 3 years old, doing well with kids. He is both housebroken and kennel trained, and he has good leash manners, making him easy to manage in daily routines. Seth is very obedient and would be a great match for someone interested in training or continuing to build skills. He is hyper and toy motivated, so he thrives with structured play, mental stimulation, and regular exercise. Seth does have food aggression, and management is important. Hand-feeding some meals has been helpful in working through this behavior, and continued training and consistency will be key to his success. Overall, Seth is a bright, driven dog who will do best with an engaged adopter ready to channel his energy and work with him — and he has all the foundation needed to become an amazing companion.
