Story
Momma Donna is a Kelpie/Heeler mix girl that gave birth 3 months ago to 8 beautiful, wonderful Heeler puppies. This girl is 2 years old and only 42 pounds.  She is amazingly smart and seems to know exactly what you are saying to her.  We think that Momma Donna would be a perfect addition to a home with children who want to play and teach a dog some good tricks and manners.  She is willing to learn anything. Momma Donna is nicely housebroken and ready for a totally great and new life.  Momma Donna just needs a place to belong.   So, do you have a front porch and a hole in your heart ready to be filled by a loving and devoted dog who wants to walk down the road with you every day?   Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com  if you are interested in Momma Donna.  PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 28, 2024, 4:57 pm

Story
Misty is in incredibly sweet girl who is just perfect in a home! She can shut down when in a kennel situation but does extremely well when left out at the house with no incidents or accidents-she is the perfect roommate! Misty does great on a leash and seems to enjoy the water, going on adventures and walks, and relaxing and chilling on the couch and is a great mix of all of those which is perfect for those that would like a dog they can walk with but also one they can chill on a couch with.  She seems pretty good with most dogs but an introduction would be made at the meet & greet to make sure and we haven't had her around cats to test but although she is shy with people when she first meets them, she definitely warms up over time! Misty's owners loved her dearly but had some serious medical issues so needed to surrender her but she as in a house full of love and is just looking for her forever home. She has been limping so we have had her checked out and discovered that she will be needing TPLO surgery in May for her back legs but she is in great health otherwise so we dont see why she won't make a great recovery and go back to being the active girl she is that loves adventures after she is all healed! Bonaparte's Retreat will cover all of the costs associated with the surgery and any physical therapy needed after.April 22, 2024, 12:06 pm

Story
Please contact Vivienne (viviennejames@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Meet Miss Princess!  This 8 year old 30 lbs gem had a horrible life prior to joining the Cavalry.  She was part of a hoarding case where the family had way too many dogs and could not properly take care of them.  Because of this Princess and her doggie family ended up in a rural Tennessee shelter.  She was a thin has could be and very weak.  Miss Cheryl and her mom Ruth felt sorry for her and decided to rescue her.  An immediate trip to the vet was scheduled.  Princess was diagnosed with long term untreated diabetes.  This was the reason she was so thin.  What a sham that no one noticed the symptoms but them.  Poor Princess almost died.  Her vet was truly amazed that she lived.  Her diabetes is now under control and she has gained weight.  Princess is one of the sweetest dogs ever.  She is a true love bug and so very grateful for the love and care she has received.  She is thriving and would make someone a great pet.  Unfortunately as a result of the diabetes Princess has limited vision.  She is amazing though.  After she gets the 'lay of the land' you would never know it.  She does not bump into things and can navigate stairs up and down.  It truly is amazing.  She is a very loving dog who just wants to be with her people.  If you want a canine shadow then she is the one for you.  Despite her lack of vision, Princess enjoys walking and you would never know her sight is limited.  She is a dog that you could take any where.  Princess loves to ride in the car an is always up for a trip just about any where.  She has been on several with her foster family.  She is housebroken and crate trained.  She is also trained to sit patiently snacking on a baby carrot when it is shot time.  The distraction of the carrot does the trick so giving the insulin shot is not a problem.  She is good with other dogs her size and age but not young rambunctious puppies or dogs.  She would also be fine as an only dog.  She would be happy to soak up all the attention.  If you would like to give a home to a wonderful special needs dog, Princess is the one for you.  To be considered for her forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  April 28, 2024, 4:57 pm

Story
We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs.  Bonnie is a mix of some interesting breeds.  We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her.  The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach.  She is the home security dog officer!   This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health.  Bonnie is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds.  She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard.  She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family.  If you would like to give Bonnie her next forever home, please email Critter Cavalry Rescue who is helping her at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 28, 2024, 4:57 pm

Story
Haven is a beautiful girl born on February 4th to a beautiful red and white Australian Sheperd momma named Maggie.  This sweet stray momma gave birth bravely to 13 puppies and 11 survived.  A monstrous job of raising them lay ahead and she rose to the occasion.  This girl puppy named Haven is one of the 11 who are looking for a home that will enjoy her beauty and intelligence for a long time.  Haven has an unknown daddy that perhaps she takes after.  This girl is with Momma Kim who says that she is the more laidback and low key puppy of the four that she is fostering from the original litter of 11.  When it is playtime little Haven perks up and becomes a very active little girl who is ready to romp and wrestle to her heart’s content. Right in the middle of mischief, Haven is not a vocal girl who also possesses the desire to cuddle and snuggle with her human foster mom. This little girl is around other dogs, cats and of course people.  She is comfortable with her surroundings and just a sweetheart. We expect this girl to be a 45 pound adult that will bring you love straight from her heart and soul every day.  If you are interested please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.April 28, 2024, 4:57 pm
