We are trying to help this sweet girl called Bonnie to find a home since her elderly parents are in failing health and cannot care for their five dogs. Bonnie is a mix of some interesting breeds. We think she has some Aussie and maybe Boxer in her. The Australian Shepherd trait is what makes her a protector of the yard and home when strangers approach. She is the home security dog officer! This girl is losing her home because her elderly parents have fallen into bad health. Bonnie is 4 years old and weighs a little over 40 pounds. She adores people and is good with the other dogs that she spends time with in the fenced yard. She is housebroken, affectionate and a devoted girl to her family. Meet our handsome 4-5 year old Australian Shepherd boy we call Sebastian. This 60 pound, sweet soul was found as a stray back about the second week of June and he was never claimed by anyone as lost. He was not microchipped, not neutered and just wanting a place to be loved. Critter Cavalry Rescue has stepped up to foster him and find the perfect match for this gorgeous boy. He is heartworm negative and he has been treated for an ear infection and a hot spot that is common during the hot summer months with the long furred dogs. He is good with other dogs, children and we are cat testing him now. He is pretty good on a leash and rides well in the car. He has been several places in the past month and is dealing with feeling a little displaced at times. This boy is clean, soft, handsome and needing a good place to land with someone that understands the breed and who has a fenced yard for him to explore safety and off leash. My name is Caring Carrie and I am a 1 year old, Aussie/Shepherd mix girl that weighs 35 pounds of pure sweetness. My luck has not gone well with getting adopted. I have had two families that adopted me and one had to bring me back because the little girl was allergic and then another family took me home for a few weeks and their grandmother had a stroke and she had to come live with the family and they decided that a puppy would be too much if they were taking care of a special needs senior Grandmother. So, for medical reasons I have lost TWO homes in a short time of my young life. I am housebroken, crate trained and I am very loving and sweet. I will most probably be a 50-60 pound girl when fully grown. I am very submissive and playful and really hoping that the “third time is the charm” adoption for me. If you want a little pup that is more settled and not a wild child, then choose me! I promise to make you feel very special and loved and glad that you brought me home to be a part of your life. Friendly Finn is a lucky dog. You know one of those who was in a really bad shelter that was run by lazy people who didn’t care if any of the dogs got out alive. He is a handsome and very friendly Border Collie/Pointer mix that is truly a good looking dog who is about 3 years old, fully vetted, 35 pounds and was at the shelter for 2 years. TRUTH! How awful that this beautiful soul was there in that dirty place and in the tiny kennel run with another dog. He wasn’t fed much and he is lucky to have survived the torture of that specific shelter. Friendly is a good word for Finn since he is good with other dogs and kids unknown. He is surprisingly very good on a leash, but his nerves can get the best of him when riding in a car. He might need a little medication till he gets used to riding. Finn needs a big yard or maybe daily trips to a dog park. We want him to live a life that is not limited as he has experienced these past 2+ years in the shelter.
