Story
Meet Bella! She is a very sweet 2 year old female Kelpie/GSD mix, and is UTD on shots, spayed, and on monthly heartworm/flea preventative. Bella has undergone successful heartworm treatment and is now heartworm negative! Bella doesn’t do great with small dogs (under 20lbs) but she’s perfect with all other dogs, male and female. Bella is very kid friendly. She is more of a submissive, low key dog, with bursts of energy but 90% of the time wanting to be by your feet laying down sleeping. She does need some work on leash manners and not jumping on guests when they enter the house. Bella does not bark at all. She does whine a bit in her crate at first but quickly stops. She is completely housebroken and crate trained. She’s the sweetest dog who just wants love all day every day and to spend every waking moment by the people she loves. Big and small. Please please please give this girl a chance!! If you'd like to make Bella a furever member of your family please fill out our adoption application at adoption.poundpupandfriends.org

Story
With a stunning liver-red coat and striking amber eyes, Bola is the kind of dog who commands attention the moment he walks into a room. His large, expressive ears are always tuned to his surroundings, framing a face that radiates sweetness. This handsome fellow is a gentle soul who deeply values human companionship. If you are moving about the house, he will shadow your steps from room to room, content just to be near you. The moment you finally settle down, Bola takes it as his cue to climb right up and transform into an affectionate lap dog. While he has plenty of moments where he is described as a chill couch potato, he balances that downtime with a watchful awareness. He maintains a keen interest in the local squirrel population and is highly motivated by tasty treats. He shows a sweet, easygoing disposition when spending quiet time with his favorite humans, making him a wonderful companion for relaxing days at home. Right now, this beautiful boy needs a comfortable, quiet sanctuary to rest and heal. He is currently recovering from a growth removal on his paw, which means he needs a temporary home with no other dogs so he can focus entirely on his recovery. Getting Bola out of the kennel environment and into a cool, air-conditioned space is essential for his healing. You can provide the soothing environment he needs to get back on his feet. Open your heart and home to Bola today by reaching out to bring him home for a restorative stay.

Story
Hi! I'm Snorkel, a bundle of joy who loves to explore every nook and cranny. Besides being the most handsome boy, I'm playful and friendly, always ready for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. Curiosity drives me, and I'm pretty smart too, quickly figuring out puzzles and games. Independent yet loving, I thrive on a mix of adventure and quiet time. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's always up for a new challenge, I'm your guy! Let's explore the world together. Adopt me and let the adventures begin! I'M NOT AT APA! yet, but I’m hoping my turn is coming soon. I’m currently at a partner shelter, and I’ve been placed on their Urgent Placement List - which means I’m one of their highest priority dogs to find a way out. I’ve been told that if someone steps up to foster or adopt me, APA! will bring me into their program and help me get ready for home life, so I'm just waiting to be chosen. All it takes is one person to change everything for me - email dog-foster-placement@austinpetsalive.org to be that person!

Story
Cricket is a confident, independent dog looking for someone to take him on adventures! He's easygoing, walks really nicely on his leash, and knows sit and will do it very patiently for a treat. He's a really smart guy that likes the company of other dogs, enjoys pets, and while he may try to sit in your lap, he's not going to be glued to you. Nope - this boy isn't a stage five clinger at all. He's easy peasy, playful, and curious (but watch out, squirrels!). Cricket really is the whole package and anyone would be lucky to scoop up this uniquely handsome dude. Primary Color: Chocolate Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 60 Age: 2yrs 5mths 3wks

Story
Felicia has been welcomed to a foster home that she shares with her caregivers, a dog and a cat. She's very polite to cats, both indoors and outdoors, and her current dog friend is a very cute, small older dog friend. She would probably enjoy a friendly, polite dog she can snuggle and play with.Where people are, you'll find Felicia quietly nearby, just in case there's a call out for a snuggle, she'll be right there. Felicia also seems child friendly. Her personality is gentle, sweet and easy. She walks nicely on a leash and rides well in a car. She's shown herself to be well rounded.Felicia is healthy and comes with a clean bill of health from the shelter and her advocates at ClassicCaninesATX.A common question - why is this dog in a shelter system?Felicia was part of a larger dog crew that lost a longtime home and came to the shelter for safety. Life was not easy for their dog crew. Offering a bridge home by adopting a mature dog from the shelter system is a rewarding experience, for both you and the dog. One that you'll always remember.
