Smokie is as handsome as he is well mannered. He originally came from a breeder and lived with a family (including 4 kiddos) for almost 2 years. When the family moved out of state, he was kept in a friend’s shed until the shelter would take him in.We’ve learned many things about this very good boy since coming under our care. Besides being house trained and knowing basic commands, he’s also good in the car, leash trained, and is up for any adventure. We’ve had a few field trips with Smokie to the Mueller area. She came from a very high-kill shelter in California and had been dumped as a puppy in the hard streets of a high-crime area. She had one friend in the world, Sopita, who was also saved by Dogtown. When she first got to the ranch, she could not be separated from her friend, but she quickly found a hundred other buddies and learned that life can be a good thing after all.
