Story
Hi! I'm Snorkel, a bundle of joy who loves to explore every nook and cranny. Besides being the most handsome boy, I'm playful and friendly, always ready for a game of fetch or a brisk walk. Curiosity drives me, and I'm pretty smart too, quickly figuring out puzzles and games. Independent yet loving, I thrive on a mix of adventure and quiet time. If you're looking for a loyal companion who's always up for a new challenge, I'm your guy! Let's explore the world together. Adopt me and let the adventures begin! I'M NOT AT APA! yet, but I’m hoping my turn is coming soon. I’m currently at a partner shelter, and I’ve been placed on their Urgent Placement List - which means I’m one of their highest priority dogs to find a way out. I’ve been told that if someone steps up to foster or adopt me, APA! will bring me into their program and help me get ready for home life, so I'm just waiting to be chosen. All it takes is one person to change everything for me - email dog-foster-placement@austinpetsalive.org to be that person!

Cricket is a confident, independent dog looking for someone to take him on adventures! He's easygoing, walks really nicely on his leash, and knows sit and will do it very patiently for a treat. He's a really smart guy that likes the company of other dogs, enjoys pets, and while he may try to sit in your lap, he's not going to be glued to you. Nope - this boy isn't a stage five clinger at all. He's easy peasy, playful, and curious (but watch out, squirrels!). Cricket really is the whole package and anyone would be lucky to scoop up this uniquely handsome dude. Primary Color: Chocolate Secondary Color: Tan Weight: 60 Age: 2yrs 4mths 0wks

When we say he's an "ace in the pocket", it's true.If you are looking for a calm, collected, well keeled pet, Ace needs to be on your short list. He's sharing his kennel with a dog friend nicely. He walks on a leash butter smooth, staying right by his person's knee, walking to their stride. He observes small critters in his vision lines, but does not take chase. He loves everyone equally, without feeling needy and overly affection seeking-he's happy to take your affections and affirmations, here and there. His coat is gorgeous. Story
This little girl was found on the side of a country road near Georgetown, TX at about 10 weeks old (vet estimate). Her litter must have been dumped. We found her eating off a deer carcass and covered in fleas. We brought her home with us, cleaned her up, fed her, and planned to keep her. Unfortunately, we have 2 older dogs, 3 young children, very busy schedules, and just not enough time to get her the attention she deserves. She is now 6 months old and is kennel trained and house trained with the bell method. She does well with our kids, but is a puppy still and will jump and nip at heels. She is very energetic - loves running around, chasing her tail, and playing fetch. She had her first round of shots at 12 weeks, but has not yet been spayed as the vet recommended we wait until after her first heat. She is a very smart dog and a wonderful little companion!

Good with cats, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
He was found in a dumpster with his siblings and was adopted by us shortly after from the shelter. Very hyper active, and has extreme chewing and what I consider pica. Eats any toy we give him, any furniture he’s around including walls and window edges. I want him to go to someone who knows how to handle extreme behavior like this, because we are at our wits end as renters. Other than his behavioral issues he’s a sweet and loving dog who is very gentle with our cat. Has never shown aggression to people or other animals he has met. Can be a bit skiddish at first but always comes around to wanting to make a new friend.

Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Meet Sydney, a serene and affectionate Belgian Malinois Shepherd mix with a heart as gentle as her gaze. Sydney is the definition of calm—nothing seems to faze her. She’s incredibly dog and cat friendly, and her low to medium energy level makes her a wonderful match for a peaceful home. Sydney is being fostered in a loving home in San Antonio, TX, where she gets along beautifully with her German Shepherd foster sister. Sydney walks beautifully on a leash and makes an excellent walking buddy for those who enjoy quiet neighborhood strolls. However, her true happy place is outside—she absolutely thrives in a yard where she can explore, relax, and enjoy nature. A home with outdoor space is a must for this sweet girl. Potty trained and polite, Sydney is well-mannered around the house. She's a little shy when meeting new people or visiting unfamiliar places, so she’ll need a patient and loving family willing to give her time to settle in. Once she trusts you, she’ll show you her soft, affectionate side and soak up every bit of attention you're willing to give. Sydney is also a cozy cuddle buddy—she loves curling up next to you on the couch for some quiet bonding time. While she’s not a fan of car rides, Sydney is happy living the homebody life. She’s currently looking for a foster or adopter in Central Texas who can offer her the calm, consistent environment she deserves. If you're looking for a gentle, loyal companion, Sydney is ready to make your heart her home.
