Aussies typically live 12 to 15 years. Six isn't her senior chapter, it's her middle one. The most mature, most settled, most knowing-herself version of who she's going to be for the next eight or nine years. The exhausting young Aussie energy has faded into something steadier. The intelligence, the loyalty, the deep bond with her person, all of that is still here. Just calmer. Nova has partial vision loss. Our vet is still evaluating the degree. Here's what we know. Dogs adapt to vision loss in ways humans rarely do, and Nova will too. What she needs is a stable home with a consistent layout so she can map her world and live in it confidently. Not a hard ask. Just a thoughtful one. She's looking for a calm household. Not a high-energy, big-yard, multi-kid chaos house. A person or two, a steady rhythm, a couch she can claim, a routine she can count on. If you've ever wanted a dog who's past the chewing-everything phase and ready to just be your shadow, this is the one. Nova is currently in foster through July 2026.
